White Makes Right

This dress is a bit dark and moody, but since I am going to a class today I was able to throw on my white Bebe jacket. Yay for more sedentary days! And for white jackets that instantly brighten everything. I need a white blazer!

More of the same, but different

Same crop top as the other day, more navy with white. I am maybe 80% sure that the lump under the green top is the waistband and not my gut...? The striped tank is new off ebay, finally found a cheapie one to meet my requirements. Computer doesnt want to cooperate, so I'll leave it at that for phone typing. Happy Sunday, everyone! Anyone ready for the GOT premier???

The Bebe Jacket Returns

Visiting a friend today with little chance of physical exertion, so I took the opportunity to wear my faux leather Bebe jacket. I must say I still love how this baby photographs.

Worn with a column of navy, because navy and white is so spring-like. I also used my zipper tote, but I forgot that in the house when I snuck outside to blog. ;)

Bebe jacket - Bebe (when Zap visited BH!)
BR tank - hand me down
Big star jeans - Nordies (gratis)
Matisse booties - Zappos

Linen/Leather Paratrooper

Between the olive-y brown/gray jacket and the baggy pants rolled up over combat boots, I felt a little like I ought to jump out of a plane today, but that's a-okay with my UWP alter ego. :)

In actuality, all I did was take a run to Target and Marshall's looking for a black & white printed, scoop-neck, semi-fitted, silky, dressy shell to wear under jackets and blazers. I don't know what could possibly be so hard about finding a super specific item in a super specific fit and color scheme, but I struck out. Found a few online that I like, but hm, why is it that I only like the $200 tank tops all of a sudden? I did manage to duplicate my beloved Aiko tee in white, though, for half the asking price on Ebay. Woohoo!

Anyway, I felt really good in this outfit and was tickled to play up my "waist" for once. Tried pics in a few spots outside, but Target had the best light. Nice and soft... a little dark, but at least there is not shadow beard or harsh reflections off the leather. Pulled out my one remaining mid-size crossbody today since my satchels felt weird with such a masculine outfit. Aviator glasses, of course. I feel I'll be wearing this exact combo again someday.

I may have been a little overdressed for my lunch run to Subway... but let's just call that an illustration of my comment on the "runway or everyday" thread. ;)

Aviators - Nordies
Mackage for Aritzia "Kenya" jacket - Ebay
B44 tee - Rack
Vince linen joggers - Ebay
B. Makowsky bag - Ebay (one of my first!)

Birks and a Dainty Necklace

Night shift tonight, so I wanted to post early. Unfortunately for my blog pics, the weather is too nice, and people are hanging out on their porches, totally ruining my private photo shoot area. *pout* Time will tell whether my shame or my vanity will win out in the end. ;)

Wearing a Maggie Ward draped wool tank/vest from the flea market. One of these days I will layer it over sleeves so you can see the suede back. Paired with waffle stomper sandals and a barely there pearl pendant.

PS: I was already tempted to use the black zippered "tote" today to fit all my ebay envelopes inside. Held off to be sure, but after your help I am leaning toward keeping it!

Maggie Ward tank - $10 at flea market
Trouve blazer - Nordies
Gap jeggings - Ebay
Gentle souls sandals - Nordies
Tortoise bangles - Moms
Pearl necklace - gift from mom
Brahmin wristlet - Ebay
