Black Hole Galaxy

Super tired after work, mainly because I took a Krav Maga class on Sunday and now have a huge, painful bruise on my leg that makes standing and walking sort of difficult. The galaxy shoes were my first choice for both physical and mental comfort. I wanted them to be the center of attention, so I kept the rest of the outfit super simple.

I hope everyone else's return from Spring Break was less painful!

Black cashmere pullover - $1 at flea market!
Olivia Moon skirt - Rack
Miista galaxy oxfords - gift from Best Friends Ever :)
Ted Baker bag - flea market
Tiger charm - Florence, Italy
Silver necklace - Ebay

My eyes go straight to the footwear.  They are awesome and so is the outfit.  Simple but very eye catching.

I love the whole outfit, and the photos in general. Nice of DH to take pics of you. Sorry to hear about your bruise. I hope it heals fast. You are learning to kick butt so it is worth it. You will be a real Urban Warrior.

Deb - funny about the sign! I never noticed before.

Elle - DH mostly doesn't take my photos... only if we are out "on location." I have been using the self-timer on my phone - I am pleased that it looks as though the human touch was involved! And yes, I'd like to back up my UWP title with some street cred. :)

You managed to focus on the shoes! They are really cool. I think using accessories as a focus is pretty challenging, maybe with the exception of scarves. Most of my shoes and bags are very neutral. I love the rest of your outfit, too, you look great!

I think this is my favourite outfit I have seen you in. $1 cashmere, how do you do it?

I love that the shoes are the only point of colors!  The black and stripes are a perfect combo for the shoes.  Hope your leg feels better soon.

Love this outfit! The pairing of those fab galaxy shoes with the striped skirt is genius. That skirt is VERY flattering BTW.

This is another stellar outfit (pun intended!) I love those galaxy oxfords!

You look spectacular!  Love the galaxy shoes as the pop of color.

And $1 cashmere sweater?!?  You have serious flea market skills!!

I think the outfit is perfect for the galaxy shoes.  The skirt is very flattering and the neutral colors really allow the shoes to shine.

So jealous of your $1 sweater. This really does put the focus on your cool awesome shoes. Sorry about the bruise - it will be even more special as it starts to heal and the colors match your shoes : )

One of my favourites.  I'm so copying this when my cheapie ON striped pencil skirt arrives.

For some reason it makes me think of Jamaica.

I love your looks lately, you really are nailing it. Its great how the light plays off your shoes, they are fab and they add a pop of colour to the neutral tones.

What a way to let the galaxy shoes shine! I like that you paired with a print (stripes!) rather than full solids, the mix is much fresher. I kind of want to push up your sleeves to have matching exposed skin levels, but it looks just as good sleeves down somehow. I adore this layering, and am plotting on how I can copy with one of my jersey dresses.
