Blackfoot Bombshell

I think I mentioned this in the other thread, but I am keeping both colors of boot! Test drove the black ones today to be sure, and they are divinely comfy, so I'm sold. The leather is also much, much thinner than any of my other boots, making them perfect for S/S wear in CA. Maybe even year-round, to be honest.

I had a hard time dressing this morning, so I ended up letting the boots be the star and wore them with my Free People mini and a super baggy tee to tone down the bombshell factor. Agate necklace to soften everything up and hopefully turn things more toward Urban Rock Sprite than Daria (not that I am against channelling Daria; it's just not part of my business persona).

I am looking forward to stomping around in these with leggings and skinnies when it cools down!

WOW on the boots.  Although they are more Jane than Daria, they are FAB.

I "la-la-la-la-la" love this outfit!   You look too cool, Rae :)

This doesn't read Daria to me at all.

  • Jaime replied 9 years ago

Don't blame you for keeping both - you will wear them all the time!

Now THIS is how you de-bombshell a mini! This is fantastic on you and I'm positively drooling over those boots.

Love the boots -- so glad they're winners for you!

You've got me thinking I may hang onto those tall brown Born boots I was trying to sell a while back. I wonder if I could dye them black...

You totally ROCK that look! Love that scrunchy skirt and your Zinda boots. Are the heels on those boots easy to walk in?

  • Aida replied 9 years ago

Oh how fun that you're able to keep both pairs! I can see you getting plenty of wear from them both, especially since the leather is lightweight. Love the outfit (tall boots with bare legs is always a fave over here!), and I think you did plenty fine skewing towards Urban Rock (the shades, stone necklace, and cuff action all help too); a printed or more graphic oversized tee would also do the trick. I really like your soft smoky makeup, so pretty! And those cute wispy bangs are giving you an extra impish touch :)

Amazing. I love the boots--and the whole look. Rock on.

I know you mentioned in another thread that you had gained a few pounds but holy crap Rae, you look amazing in that outfit.  I love those boots too.  The lace up front is reminiscent of a corset and they have great detail.  I like that you put them with a simple outfit.

  • ameelizabeth replied 9 years ago

The boots look great in that outfit!

  • Karie replied 9 years ago

Fantastic boots. I'd keep them in both colors too!

  • Marley replied 9 years ago

Just had to go back to look at your new hairstyle!  Have I mentioned that I love it?????

  • Mochi replied 9 years ago

Fantastic outfit, that looks like nothing but you. I love your hair and how it continues to evolve.

You may have struggled, Rae, but it doesn't show.  This looks effortless!
