I know I'm super late to the Bond bandwagon - I hardly ever see films in first-run theaters - but I finally saw Skyfall, and I'm so in love with the menswear! Not just old 007, either, but also the groundskeeper's rust sweater vest, the villain's leather military trench... and I'm kind of in love with Q's crazy hair. Naturally I also wish I could find the female equivalent of Bond's rugged olive jacket and pea coat. :)

I haven't seen the movie yet, but call me old fashioned, I still see Q as, well, the old Q :P

A navy pea coat is absolutely a possible choice for a lady...I have done my in red and LOVE it. Also the same for the waxed coat but they are sooo heavy that I cannot recommend for Cali!

Love it, and there's definitely lots of inspiration to be found here. BTW, Ben Whishaw (as Q) was on quite a few best dressed lists last year:

Lol...love your Bondspiration. After seeing the movie I jumped on the computer trying to find a dress. I loved everything Naomie Harris wore. I guess that shows our fashion differences.

I can see you looking fab in your version of Bond menswear! JCrew has a great field coat and I thought it came in an olive. Cabela's has one too , plus some other interesting outerwear choices. I'm not attuned to the subtle differences that makes one closer to Bond than the other, but here's what catches my interest enough to click and look:

Lyn, I never watched Bond films growing up, so I am afraid I missed the old Q. :(
Inge, I'm so enamoured with Ben as an actor. DH and I just loved him in Perfume and Cloud Atlas. Love that I'm not the only one digging his wardrobe as Q.
Day Vies, that's hilarious... I actually *was* considering his haircut for myself. Hehe!
Angie, I wholeheartedly support *everyone* dressing their DHs in Craigspiration.
MNsara, I really like the green one by Cabelas! And it is a great price now. Hm, need to investigate the sizing chart. :)
