Citrus & Buttercream

A quick hello before I collapse in front of the TV with DH tonight! Spent the day running errands and on and off the phone dealing with an old, old, old doctor's bill/insurance issue. It was resolved (huzzah!), but now I'm drained and ready for mindless entertainment (YLF is very entertaining but never mindless).

For today's errands, I wore my trusty white jeans. I was so scared to put them in the wash, because I normally use the freezer method to try and preserve my denim. That isn't possible, though, with the white jeans; they actually get visibly dirty, whereas my blue ones don't show grime at all. Thankfully, they washed well. They're a bit stiff after air-drying, but they're softening as I wear them.

I liked yesterday's citron outfit a lot more until I saw the pics. I don't know why the jacket looks like it's bulging around my but area, but it didn't look that way in the mirror... Oh, well, that is the price I pay for taking my photos outdoors when it is too late to change! Maybe next time I'd leave the jacket open.

Both outfits are totally fab, but I am swooning over 1. Love!

WOW. I totally, totally love both these outfits, Rae. Adore you in the Camerons, both colours! But it's the citrus that really sends this into the stratosphere. Love how your bag picks up the yellowy orange stitching of the white ones, and how your jacket just pops. It does not look at all bad in the pics to me.

Love love love both of these!

You are the queen of casual looks with jeans and boots, love it.
  • missvee replied 10 years ago

I love all your casual looks but the white on white is extra good.

LOVE #1! The way the studs, bag strap, belt and shoes all relate. Those jeans are awesome on you.

These are both just ridiculously fab!!  And I love your gorgeous smile in #1!

Both outfits look fantastic! You look so very urban cool. I don't notice any bulging problems in the jacket in the second one.
I ADORE those Worishofer sandals!  I want them! But I'm pondering whether granny shoes automatically lose all their irony when worn by a granny? ;-)

Wow Rae!  Love that white studded top with the jeans and bright bag!  And, the citron jacket is great - I don't think it looks bad at all!  It must have been warmer at your place than down here, because I had long-sleeves on yesterday!  Thanks for posting!

Love the white & the citrus is too fantastic - love the jacket.

I like both outfits, but my fav is #1. You wear those Camerons so well!

Both looks are perfect illustrations of the best of casual outfitting.  #1 wins by a hair for me, I love the head to toe white worn in such a relaxed way.

OK, I gotta know.  What's the "freezer method?"

Sensational outfits.  #1 is so incredibly fab.  Citron looks so good on you Rae.

Beautiful- if I saw you out and about, I think I'd be trying to figure out how you combined those elements to such a stunning result. So compelling and fresh on you. And your hair really sets it all off nicely.

oh, i love #1. you wear casual so effortlessly, yet its clear that thought went into every look

I love the white outfit!! K-word worthy. Is it that hot in So Cal already - that you can wear a tank sans topper?

Are you growing out your hair, Rae?
  • cheryl replied 10 years ago
    Fab! You look great. :)
  • Sara L. replied 10 years ago
I think both are outfits are great although I prefer #1, mainly because that's the style tank, loose, slouchy with some interest, that I like to wear in the summer too.  I think the jacket looks fine, maybe it's ridden up a tad and needs to be pulled down.

Rae, you look great! I love the white on white with tan accents in 1 and the citron jacket in 2 makes you glow.
  • Adelfa replied 10 years ago
You look wonderful as always. I love how you pose.

I love white jeans with caramel leather- scrumptious. And I think the citron jacket looks great, actually.
  • rae replied 10 years ago
Thanks, ladies! I guess the jacket issue was all in my head...

Parsley, I don't think this style is very granny-ish, especially if you wear with some of that HL you rock. :)

Angie, yes, I am growing it out. Probably to an above-the-chin bob of some sort. Because DH really hates the pixie.

Love these light and sour colours on you Rae - I swear they were thinking of you when they designed those Camerons!

You gorgeous citrus-buttercream confection!  I love you in white, but I also love your second outfit just as much.  Now, I've got to read up on your "freezer method" of washing jeans, although, apparently this isn't good for white jeans, which I'm going to be wearing more.

Rae, your poses are the best and your title makes me want to look for a cupcake or frozen yogurt in that combo flavor!
  • CocoLion replied 10 years ago
Yes, #1 is surely a 10.  Love the addition of the yellow bag!  And I don't see any issues with #2, looks good to me.

More easy breezy chic from you. I am especially crazy for the white outfit.
