For Mo: Victoria's Secret 4-in-1 Cargo Jacket is here!

Mo and I both fell in love with this cargo Jacket, but we were both too unsure about sizing to pay full price, plus shipping, and also possible return shipping costs. She spotted an XS on Ebay and thought it might work for me, and I was actually able to win the auction! Woohoo!

So Mo, here are some pics to hopefully demonstrate the fit. First, there is no true shoulder seam - there is the end of the vest, which sits a good ways inward of my shoulder line (I like this, kind of like a cutaway sleeve when you wear it as a vest) and then some decorative piping at the arm. The XS fits comfortably over my 32D chest, and the ultra-cropped mode *just* covers the boobage for a bolero effect. Any smaller, and there would have been some weird underboob action. I don't know about you, but from the Ebay pics, I was expecting a caramel color, and this is definitely army green, which is fine since I don't own a jacket that color yet not what I expected.

Thanks again for pointing out the auction!

P.S. I don't think I'd actually style the super cropped versions like this, but I wanted to have a high contrast to show the shape of the jacket.

Fun jacket! Even if the color isn't what you were expecting, I could see this getting plenty of wear for you. The vest length looks good for dresses/skirts.

EDIT: Wear this with white bottoms!!

    Love!!!!!!!!!

  • Mo replied 11 years ago

yay!!!!! Mine is on the way, but in one size larger. I could swear mine looks more khaki, but I guess we'll see. http://www.ebay.com/itm/290720.....451wt_1054 Maybe that's why some of these are customer returns . . . the different color.
Thanks for sharing - I love it on you!!

First the white jacket and now this! You are on a ROLL!!!

  • rae replied 11 years ago

Mo, ours are different colors entirely. Mine is called herb something or another, so hopefully yours has photographed truly.

Aida, I have no white bottoms! Yarg, I've been trying to remedy that for so long!

  • Aida replied 11 years ago

Ohhh what? Not even a skirt? This is definitely a Situation That Needs Remedy!

    Very cool!

  • kimana517 replied 11 years ago

Wow, that's really cool! Talk about versatility! It looks great on you. I'm not a fan of the super-cropped option either, although I know a lot of very conservative women who would like that option to wear over spaghetti-strap dresses.

  • Vicki replied 11 years ago

Wow, it does everything! I particularly love it in 1 and 2. You scored!

  • fern replied 11 years ago

Love it! I do like 5 super-cropped with sleeves.

  • AJ replied 11 years ago

Wow, that jacket is FAB. I like all the different versions on you! What a great versatile find!

Look forward to seeing yours too, Mo!

I meant to add that I think that darker color is perfect for you! I think I will wear mine all ways except for cropped vest. But I might surprise myself and throw it over a ribbed tank and shorts that way . . . I can't wait to experiment.

  • replied 11 years ago

That's really a cool jacket! Olive green for you and some kind of khaki for Mo? Fun! You'll be jacket/vest twins!

  • ManidipaM replied 11 years ago

    Very sweet score!

  • Kiwichik replied 11 years ago

Wow so these shots are all the same item ? Cool and it looks great in each of it's incarnations.

  • Mona replied 11 years ago

I really like the lenght of this jacket. Hopefully this will get a lot of wear.

  • fashionista replied 11 years ago

Love love and love this jacket. Infact I am in love with the color too. I love your tank top too.

  • Janet replied 11 years ago

I looked at that too! And I never look at VS. Too funny.

It actually looks really cute in all the variations on you.

  • modgrl replied 11 years ago

    That is one fine jacket!!

  • texstyle replied 11 years ago

What a great fun piece - and it looks really perfect on you - I like the jacket in both it's longer and cropped versions best but I also think the longer vest is pretty cool - esp. for summer.

    right on. steph

  • cheryl replied 11 years ago

That is a great jacket/vest. It looks fantastic on you.

  • bella replied 11 years ago

Hi! I love the jacket and actually want one too but am unsure about sizing. Are you by any chance able to post the bust, waist, sleeve length measurements for the XS? That would be fabulous!

    Thanks

  • Jem replied 11 years ago

That is a great jacket! It looks perfect for both you and Mo!

  • Ariadne replied 11 years ago

    Very, very cool!

  • Jaime replied 11 years ago

This looks great on you! I am not usually so excited about multi-purpose items. I am happy is something looks good just one way. But I have to say, I like this in all of its versions, especially full jacket and vest.

I'm not the original poster, but I do have this in a small. I found it ran just a bit big and I would have chosen xs, given the chance now. I did wash it hot and dry it on high to try and shrink it - to no avail lol.
I will see if I can't get measurements tomorrow.

  • bella replied 11 years ago

I think it looks great on you, Mo :)

Would love measurements from both sizes if possible! Yeah, I'm tossing up between the S and XS. I really like the navy night that Victoria's Secret has up on their website right now.

  • Mo replied 11 years ago

I have it in vest mode right now, and across the armpit to armpit is about 18". Down the back from the base of the collar to the bottom of the ribbed trim is 17". Worn cropped it is 12 1/2" long from the base of the collar, again down the back. Waistband at very bottom is 16" across. The sleeves (separated right now so I just measured one loose) is 25 1/2" from the top of the zipper, where it joins the body, to the cuff. Hope that helps some!

  • bella replied 11 years ago

Hrmmmm, I hope I fit into the XS because it sounds like the S is too big

Thanks so much for such detailed measurements!

  • rae replied 11 years ago

Bella, I can't measure now with DH asleep, but I will try to remember tomorrow. FWIW, I am a 32D, usually fit into items with a 34" bust in sizing charts, and I aim to buy jackets with 14-15" shoulder widths.
