Glowing Embers

If my last post was Girl on Fire, then these must be the glowing embers after the fire. ;)

#1 is what I'm wearing today (yes, still wearing; about to go back out to work after a long break before an appointment). I had these pants in and out of the donate pile, but I am still seeing ombre from Vince and such, so I kept them around. What do you think? Still relevant?

#2 is WIW yesterday. In retrospect I would untuck the tee so that the red plays against the gray more than the black. Plus, I don't like how many lines are converging around the middle/bust where I don't want much extra volume. But at least I finally got the correct size in this jacket! XS is plenty large enough and there is a lot of stretch. One of these days I will nail my use of red, but I figure I've got to practice so I'm ready for a bigger sales event next time.

TTFN!

Ombre pants still 100% relevant. Of course. #1 is a killer look.

Great burgundy moto. I'm glad you found the right size. I don't see any lines converging around your middle - are you talking about the tee?

These are both awesome.  That red is amazing on you.  Is it a red red or a more of a burgundy/wine?

    Rae,

You look incredible!  Red is powerful and so are you!

  • Thistle replied 10 years ago

The ombré pants look terrific, and if Angie says still relevant, they must be!

I live the red moto on you. That color loves you, and it is such a rich and powerful color.

  • Parsley replied 10 years ago

I love those ombre pants on you, Rae! Please hang onto them and wear them often!
The red moto looks fab as can be, too.

  • Susie replied 10 years ago

Two great looks! I echo the others on that color for you.

  • Jaime replied 10 years ago

Why would you give away those ombre pants? They look terrific! Ditto for the moto - great colors for you!

  • replied 10 years ago

Both looks are great! I don't see lines converging in 2...

  • Charmian replied 10 years ago

I am also confused which lines you refer to -- that's a low-contrast transition from gray to black.

Love your moto!  Fits wonderfully on you, and such an unusual color too.

  • replied 10 years ago

You look great in both! That dark red suits you.

  • Greyscale replied 10 years ago

What a great color palette. I think you've already nailed red, for sure.

  • goldenpig replied 10 years ago

You look fab in burgundy and black! Love the ombre effects!

  • Debbie replied 10 years ago

Love the red and black. You look sensational in it!

  • Jacky replied 10 years ago

Both of your outfits are fantastic. I think you've already nailed your use of red :)

    :)

    phenomenal.

I like your red jacket there, but I really like the overall look in #1. You look like a tough girl! Very cool.

  • Vicki replied 10 years ago

Are you a fire sign, girl?  If not, you'd be a great cover girl!  Heck, yes, #1 is still relevant and I say "keep glowing."

  • Angela K replied 10 years ago

The red moto is absolutely fabulous on you. Love it! And the pants totally suit you. :)

  • Mo replied 10 years ago

DO NOT get rid of those pants!  Seriously.  Trend schmend.  Or, better yet, send them to me :D

  • Tanya replied 10 years ago

Both of these are stunning.  And please do not get rid of those  great pants.  Actually, do get rid of them.  You can send them straight to me :D
Burgundy is one of my favorite colors, and I have to ask who makes that beautiful moto jacket?

ETA: Ha!  I haven't read all the responses and just noticed that Mo wrote pretty much the same thing I did about those pants.

  • Mo replied 10 years ago

Tanya, wanna arm wrestle for 'em?? :D  Oh, we'd have to take them off Rae first, wouldn't we . . .

  • Debora replied 10 years ago

Two great looks for you, Rae. I'm glad to hear that you are giving new life to the ombré pants. They are fab on you. Love the red moto, too, and see no problem with the shirt tucked in.
