Similar to the rushing seasons thread, I think it is still technically summer in LA, but I'm invoking a Fall vibe anyway. Hopefully the bare legs and arms, along with the short boots, mean I don't look too seasonally inappropriate.
Also wearing a new $2 wrap watch from the flea market... Got extras to sell, so this find actually made me money. ;-) At least that is the girl math standpoint.

Perfectly pulled together, and virtually willing Fall to arrive. I think that dress is so pretty on you, in a RATE kinda way. It's like a distressed lace pattern, or impressionist urban camo.
The brown boots and gold dainty necklace lighten the mood, and make you look really approachable. Totally taking notes.
I bet you get lotsa good comments at work today. So fab!

Love this, and the neutral palette doesn't read too wintry. I'm always amazed, however, by the number of boots I see in LA, since I can't wear boots when it's above 60! I lived in SoCal (Arcadia) for 4 years, though, and I remember making my own seasons, and I wasn't alone!

I love the outfit too, and am hoping I can rock the dress/skirt with booties look this fall... always been too scared to try.
Re: seasons, DD went to law school at UCLA (but is from Northern California) and reported feeling mistified when, on some magical 70 degree day in Los Angeles, all of her classmates showed up to school in scarves, jackets and boots. Fall had arrived by consensus, but poor DD was completely out of the loop.
But fall is too lovely not to invent, if you don't really have it.

Fantastic look Rae! I don't know how you do it all -- full time job, flea market, eBay business ... and never miss a day of great style. I really admire that.
