Into the Wild

Another drive-by post :(. Late work night and more to do tomorrow... I thought I hadn't taken an outfit photo today, but it turns out I had these from when I sent product pics to a busy friend who hates shopping.

This is the Pill & Larkin cashmere sweater I got last year... yes, I'm still shaving it before each wear, but I still love it and have to keep myself from replacing it with the exact same pilly goodness. Maybe I'll have to get a citron Eileen Fisher I've had my eye on instead. After saving some more pennies.

I have Vince sweaters that need de-fuzzing ... I think pill happens even with pricey brands.  The last time I purchased a cashmere sweater that did not pill was in 2004.  I really believe something has gone amiss since then. (Perhaps the trend towards really light knitwear has something to do with it.)

Anyway very chic little getup Rae, love the 60s vibe chain belt.

I am picturing your sweater with a bandaid (plaster) on it , or a little wisp of tissue to soak the blood from a shaving nick! :)

Lovely, Rae! I like the slim silhouette and the chain belt.

    Looks great, Rae!

Very cute Rae.  I really like the chain belt with the yellow.  That skirt shape is really nice too.

Great! Love the skirt and tight monochrome with the longer sweater. The proportion is so fresh and sassy. YLF!

A little cozy sunshine!  Hope your work is going well!

    Definitely worth the sweater shave!

You look sleek. Warning: I have an older EF cashmere cardigan that constantly needs a shave. However I also have another that has never pilled. It is a finer, more light weight knit.

Oh, I love the chain belt! So delicate but also a statement piece. It's hard to strike that balance, I think. Love this outfit (and your haircut BTW!).
I so wish the sweater gods could figure out the whole pilling thing! I have no patience for sweater shaving ... good for you for your perseverance. Once a sweater goes down that road, I have to let it go. Frankly, it's meant that I still have sweaters from 10 years ago (when JCrew cashmere was reliable) and that I don't buy sweaters often (out of fear of maintenance!). :)

When a sweater looks that good, I say "keep on shaving"! Adore the chain belt.

Love the addition of the chain belt, and the citron color loves you. Well worth the time to shave it  :)

    Thanks, everyone!

The chain belt isn't mine, actually. It was one of the things I was showing my friend. It isn't even sold as a belt (nordies thinks it is a necklace), but it is my favorite "belt" in the store. lol.

At least they were honest in their name!  I say, comb away until it's time to replace it with the EF or something you like.  You look so pretty in the photo #2 and I love the chain belt accessory, Rae.
