Jacket Challenge Day 11: Zella Z-Quilt

Worn out to Santa Monica for a morning walk before I had to go into work. This Zella jacket has been a real workhorse now that Fall has finally reached CA. It's the perfect weight - not too warm or too cold, looks great with everything from bootcuts to baggy britches, always feels comfortable, and slims at the waist. DH even said he loved the outfit without any prompting.

I didn't realize it when I left the house, but I was also dressed for Veteran's Day. We spotted a really powerful memorial out on the beach (pic 2). After how long our country has been at war, it was a good reminder of all the casualties that come with it. It really makes you want to do these people proud and be a good, vigilant citizen. thank you, Veterans!

What a neat jacket! I love the quilting. Does it zip up the front? It sort of looks like a pullover I the shot. Definitely a keeper though, it's so unique and flattering.

Great jacket, I like it with the white cargos.

Love the jacket and I love, love the white cargos. I would also like to know if the jacket zips in the front - from the pics it looks like a pullover.

Thanks! The jacket has an asymmetrical zipper - it's off to the side, so that is why it sort of looks like a pullover. I dig that effect!

The pants are also light tan/gray... I guess they look washed out because of the sun. :T

That jacket is gorgeous, Rae! I love the quilting and the asymmetry.

How does it look when it is open, or do you never wear it that way?

I would love one of these, although it would probably be a dumb purchase for me. (Too warm to wear indoors, not warm enough for my dominant weather).

It looks great with those pants.

Love the memorial, too. Simple is powerful.

You definitely look good in the Zella, which goes great with the pants and boots.

    Poignant memorial.

The jacket is a magical one, once in a lifetime find.It pairs very well with those pants.

That is a very powerful memorial.

This is the perfect jacket for you! I love a fitted jacket with more substantial pants like these. Great job.

As if this jacket were ever in question!

Suz, here is my post from the Zella's original K/R. I did wear mine inside the mall almost the whole last day of Shoptoberfest.

Una, you are SO right. There was never a question.

This is a perfect Rae outfit - strong, stylish and still comfortable looking.

Thanks for the pic of the memorial. It never hurts to remember what veterans do for us.
