JFE, Dress Over Pants, + The Other White Blazer

I didn't get a photo of yesterday's dress-over-pants outfit, but as I uploaded my phone pics I found I had taken a photo when I tried on the so-not-on-sale white Theory blazer (no, I have not bought it...yet).

 This is the cut that got me stalking white Theory on sale in the first place (this is the unlined, linen version, but there is also a suiting version... suiting may be better for potential pit stains). After seeing this pic, I've decided to return the other one for sure. I feel so much better in this one. Now the questions: linen or suiting? ebay selling blitz or sale stalk? o_0

Picture #1 without the blazer for yesterday's WIW. DH really loved this one!

Picture #2 is an outfit I wore recently, but I left the jacket open this time. Wearing the jacket open felt much less buttoned up, but it also removed any waist definition. The loose waist with the linen pants and draped tee felt kind of wide as I moved around, but I did get a compliment at work, and I feel better after seeing the photo. Hopefully it is JFE (just flattering enough, as Shannon abbreviated it). 

Feedback welcome... I have been trying new things and have been in the discomfort zone as a consequence!

    You look amazing in both! I love the dress over pants look so much, and it's a stunning shillhouette on you. That jacket is fabulous! I vote stalk sales. Sooner or later it will get marked down. Or are you lucky enough to get to the Theory outlet? #2 has enough structure to look fabulous -- strong shoulder line, sharp angles on the jacket, and the fit of your booties work well on you with the ease of the top and bottom. That bag is a perfect finishing touch!

    #1 is gorgeous. I don't find many can edge up coloured items but you do:) The jacket is stunning... you need it:)

    #2 looks more than JFE to me:) Cool and edgy

    I really like #2.  

    Getting the blazer in #1 is worth it now, think how much wear you will get from it in the next month.  If you wait for it to go on sale, it will be in June or July, maybe sold out in your size, etc.  Early in the season is when you will get so much enjoyment from it, waiting later like July, your head will be yearning for fall clothing or at least colors.  

    I like the slightly more casual and RATE aspect of the unlined linen.

    Really amazing . feeling jealous of you. Amazing and wonderful. The  top is most attracting. Did you saw my post? Please give me a suggestion too as you have a clear beauty sense.

    I wore my only Theory piece today, a blazer that's over two years old. It is simply amazing. I don't know if you'll get this one because I'm sure it's a chunk of change, but I will tell you I was thinking today how worth it  my blazer has been. Also I'm glad you didn't get the one you don't want! :-)

    Love both of these, but that dress over pants just stole my heart. So fresh and pretty but still with edge. Just adore it. What dress is that?

    Love both outfits, but there is somethign about #2 that is so edgy and yet ladylike that feels like so much your style!

    I *love* the dress over pants.  Both are great but I so love number one.  I want to do this but not sure my body type is the best to carry this off.

    I love the linen Theory blazer...It looks perfect dress over, etc...My question: how long can you wear linen in California?...Is it three season, two or one?...
    I would definitely hold out for what you want and no settle...
