More Fun with the Ella Moss Moto

I actually started out with my galaxy oxfords, but the minute I saw the Ella Moss moto, it jumped out of the closet.

I seem to keep on doing a sort of "stormy sea" theme with this jacket (the first time I was inspired by sharks). Today I paired it with my (sea) snake bag and pumps, (ocean) blue Sloan trousers, and pink pearl necklace. I guess I am a beachy, California girl underneath the UWP after all. ;)

At first I was afraid the moto would be too casual for work, but it has brought several compliments from coworkers. I feel very lucky to have snagged it at the sale price in my size - all thanks to a fortuitous announcement on the YLF forum!

Ella Moss moto - Nordies
James Perse tank - flea market
Banana Republic "Sloan" ankle pants - BR
Nine West snake bag - flea market
Born snake pumps - Nordies
Pearl necklace - gift from Mom

Love this -- I am going to match mine with my slatey blue moto trousers on Wed I think. Or maybe my slatey tunic and silver skinnies!

    Fab pearl necklace!

Those pants are full length on you - you lucky sausage. (Can you hear me sighing?)

A less RATE outfit! I'm loving Polished Rae just as much :)

It looks super with the blue pants. This jacket is quite the treasure, isn't it?

Those pants fit you so beautifully, and I love the colour. They look amazing with the jacket! Great bag too.

This is a great look, polished with a bit of edge.  You hair looks great in these pics.

Anchors aweigh! No, seriously, I love all of your oceanic tones and theme. So this moto is famous and I can see why. It looks amazing on you and I'm glad it wasn't deemed too casual for work. You're hitting a great balance between appropriate work wear and expressing your true fashion self. Kudos!

Hmmm yes what Angie said.  I love your developing "polish" in your work outfits.  You are still you but I think you are a long up your work looks.  I love this jacket and teaming it with the blue pants is brilliant.  I am going to have to ask you all to stop posting this jacket...I'm dying over here...it is so calling my name:)

Great outfit - that jacket is wonderful and the way you styled it is great.  Is it machine washable too?
  • rae replied 11 years ago
Texstyle, the tag does say to machine wash cold. I will most likely use Dryel to clean mine, though.

The moto jacket is a great addition to your wardrobe. I really like how you've paired it with the snake bag and snake shoes - even your necklace has a "snake" line to it!

Well now I want a pair of those pants, too! They look super on you, Rae. If I get them I'd definitely be copycating this outfit ^^ I like your "stormy sea" idea, that sings to me too. Your new work style shift is really coming along nicely!

Gorgeous.  This jacket really suits you and your style.  It looks to become a workhorse for you, a chic and stylish workhorse!

Love the sea imagery throughout and the moto looks spectacular on you. Glad it is dressy enough for work wear with the polished elements. Fun to see your creativity combining different elements for the new paying gig.
