No Sweat

This post title started out as a cute sweatshirt pun, but now it's literal... I sweat so. darn. much. on the first night of NAS after all the running around, up and down the escalator, down into the shoe stocks! I was beastly. For real. Even with my Nexx blouse sleeves rolled up. So today I went for short sleeves and lots of leg ventilation. This really is like my Olympics!

Copying MaryK and her fab sweatshirt-pencil-skirt combo (*waving at Mary*). I added my chunky tortie necklace, delicate tortie bracelts, dainty watch, and ballet flats to add some extra dressy feel to the sweatshirt mix.

White tiger sweatshirt - H&M (Has anyone seen these online? I keep trying to find it to get a backup, but it eludes me).
Olivia Moon ruched mide - Nordies
Tortie necklace - $1 at flea market
Tortie bracelet set - old gift from mom
Chainmail watch - gift from a friend
Crocs Supermolded flats - Crocs
B. Makowsky Shimmer bag (not pictured) - Ebay

Super outfit! I really like this look--polished and easy-going all at once. I hope you have a no-sweat day!

Wow - Wow - Wow!  Love this Rae - and it looks perfect to wear while you are running all around picking out all the "prettys!"

    Love this Rae! Great combination.

You look like an 80's Tokyo girl (which I mean as a compliment). So fresh, cool and chic. I hope you do literally stay cool.

I LOVE this, Rae!!! What a fab top, wow!! Chic, polished and the subtle tiger print is so you.
Good luck with another day of pre-selection!

Adorable!  I love this sweatshirt over pencil skirt combo -- fun yet polished :-)

You had my sort of silk experience -- when I start heating up the silk turns out to be more like wearing plastic with no breathability!

I have to go look to see if you posted how Day 1 went. . .

Wow, you look fabulous in this!  It's hard to believe that's a sweatshirt.

My sincere sympathies on the sweating.  I have the same problem, but I've always heard it's a healthy thing.....you know, your body ridding itself of toxins!

Hope your first NAS continues to go well...take care of yourself!

LOVE this!! And it fits with Angie's blog post yesterday. I wish I could find a top exactly like that. Haven't seen it online, no. It's fabulous on you!

    Good luck with the rush.

So interesting about the silk....for me, as long as there is some breeze, it works brilliantly, but I do go sleeveless in silk in summer. I think I sweat just the same in cotton or linen, but the stains are not as big a problem!

Good luck today. YLF- love the top with the skirt, very fresh look.  Here's to time to breathe and comfortable feet!

A little sleek, a little playful, and loads of comfort and style!

Looks like you're ready for the NAS gold medal ceremony!

Great look for a busy busy day! The subdued tiger is perfect for a fierce day :)

Rae, you look great! No need to hit the gym when your job is like this. I can't even imagine the type of stamina required for what you're doing. Two hours of that at DFS and I'm wiped out.

Anyhow, I love the dressy, stretchy comfiness of this outfit. The jewelry really takes it up a notch and your shoes are really quite attractive, considering they're Crocs! Have a great sale day. :)

So cute!  I am going to try and duplicate this outfit this weekend - although I don't have an uber-cool tiger sweatshirt (and I really want one now!)

I just trawled through the H&M U.S. site, and I cannot find a search option.  ???    The only search that I could find is a store locator.

  • Jaime replied 10 years ago

You look fab! Wow, what a marathon though. Still you are a great representative!

  • Glory replied 10 years ago

Love this on you and I want that sweatshirt too. I am looking forward to HM opening here.
I cannot imagine the stamina it takes to work this sale. I hope you are not aching too badly at the end of the day!
Lucky ladies having you as their SA!!!

    Lovely.

Thanks, everyone! I was anxious at first to wear this top to work, but no one batted an eye at my outfit. Woohoo, that means I can wear it again!

Suz, if I find these tops again, I'll let you know, and maybe I can nab you one. I initially found it up in Pasadena with Mary. :D I guess I'll actually have to troll a B&M store.

LBD, their site does need improvement. :T

Sara, the silk is usually good, but wow. Not made for 12 hours on a stair-climber!

This outfit manages to be many things all at once.  It looks more dressy than jeans, it looks modern, and it looks comfortable.  Success!

(I have seen some tiger tops at Zara.)

    So freaking cool!
