Ombre + Circus Stripes

Statement pants, statement shoes, statement bag, classic shirt. Really relying a lot on black and white lately, especially since I have more colored pants in my life on the job. I'm feeling like one color per outfit is my limit on many days.

A coworker today asked if my Jolt jeans were Rag & Bone - yay, look for less!

Didn't take a close up, but I'm also wearing the cat necklace in pic. 2.

Brooks Brothers Spago shirt - BB
Men's belt - flea market
Jolt jeans - Marshall's
Brahmin bag - Nordies
Worishofer sandals - DNA
Cat necklace - flea market
Elizabeth & James sunnies - Nordies

That bag was a genius purchase for you, Rae. You look wonderful -- simple, classic, but hip.

Love how the white shirt and metallic shoes let the ombré jeans shine!

The bag is sold out now!  I almost bought it myself.  And kicking myself for not getting the ombre pants.  You look streamlined and fab!

    Nice!

Everything good is happening here at once; b&w stripe, burgundy, metallic shoes, cute jewelery. Love it.

    Absolutely stunning!

I hear you on feeling like one color at a time is enough.  I'm not sure what's up with me, but I feel that way too (most of the time) right now.

The burgundy jeans are outstanding, no wonder your co-worker asked. Great!

I am glad to see a colored jeans outfits, I am not quite ready for this look to die (referring to Inguun's thread).  The proportions are all flattering, not easy with cropped pants.  Love the shiny footwear being bookened with the BB shirt.

Are Jolt jeans comfortable?  Do they slide?  That is the problem I have with non-premium jeans.

I love your colored pants, all of them. And the black and white adds the right amount of contrast.

Una, I know! I happened to check the other day and was so glad I didn't wait to see if it went on sale.

FF, those are some of my favorite things, too. :)

Amiable, maybe this is part of the minimal trend seeping into us?

Denise, the Jolts are very comfy, yes! I weigh a little less than I did when I bought them, but they still look good, too, not thin and saggy. I am not sure about sliding, because I always wear belts with all my jeans.

Burgundy jeans are on my list!  I don't think my DH will allow me to wear cats, however.  Puppies?  Maybe!

You're doing a great job of balancing simple and statement, classic and fashion forward.

Yet another perfect example of why Angie reminds us of the power of classics - you make a white button down shirt look "cool" Rae.

Less is so much more - you look amazing!

You look great!  I love the ombre jeans with the white shirt and silver shoes.

Oh! I have a similar pair of ombre jeans from JustFab - loving seeing them on someone else! ^__^

Simple perfection! I love how your bag and shoes are the perfect embellishment here.

Wow!, stunning. I love the fresh white next to the deep ombre jeans.

I thought I commented yesterday, but I guess not.  Oops.  I love love love this.  Funny, I am one who usually doesn't think of a bag as part of one's outfit but this proves me wrong.  So wrong.  It's absolutely perfect with this.  I have paired stripes and burgundy before and plan to again after seeing this!
