Orange, Cat Skull, & Dracula Collar for Halloween

I am dangerously close to the ugly holiday sweatshirt realm here, but since I did not get to celebrate Halloween, I am indulging myself.

The jacket will probably come off at some point, but it is a bit chilly outside. Hard to believe tomorrow starts November, but the weather is proof! In other news, it turned out that L&T converted the Ash sizes differently than other sites, so my 9 is actually the perfect size and not big at all. Yay!

Orange Nexx blouse - Nordies last year
Urbanite cycling jacket - Lulu
Ash green sneaks - Lord & Taylor
Cougar Skull necklace - Etsy

Eeeeeee! I love it! This is not at all ugly sweatshirt-ish. It's so, so cute, and flattering.

Halloween is the only holiday that counts for me, so I get ridiculously excited around this time of year. My SO tolerates a full month of my singing, arm waving, and overspending each October.

Cute shoes but you know I'm partial :)
I think I'm with Mary. Plus, we have determined you definitely have what it takes to be an ink master, you have proved to have knowledge of color, pattern, texture and shine.
hahaha, darn it, I miss my roomies :(

Zap!  I was just thinking this morning that Stacy and Clinton totally have to be the guest judges on Ink Master for the Color, Pattern, Texture, Shine Challenge!  ROFL!!

    Heh.

Things got a little punchy over the weekend...

  • Marmee replied 10 years ago

I love the whole thing!  Not at all over the top. But If you were wearing a yellow scarf, I might start thinking candy corn.  ;)

  • Joy replied 10 years ago

Love the ash wedges. You look scary chic. No dreaded ugly holiday sweatshirt vibes here.

You look great, so far from ugly sweatshirt!  IS that cougar skull to scale?  Kinda creepy, but very dramatic.  PErfect for today.

  • LACeleste replied 10 years ago

You look amazing!  Very fun and fashionable look!

  • rae replied 10 years ago

  • rae replied 10 years ago

Lol, Lina and MaryK! I guess my hair is closest to DAVE's. ;)

Thank you for all the kind words, ladies - everyone was complimenting everyone today (lots of orange!) and my shoes received many a kind word in the mix - thanks to Una, Cathy, Zap, and the many other Ash pioneers who blazed the trail before me.

Great outfit the skirt and jacket are so ideal on you.  Did the Ash shoes manage to work for you all day?

Does the jacket collar actually stay a la Bela Lugosi?  I also like Christopher Lee's elegant Count Dracul.

  • CocoLion replied 10 years ago

    For fun.

  • rae replied 10 years ago

The Ash shoes did work all day! I actually could have stood to go a size up in case of a high traffic day, I think, but they were great tonight. The jacket collar doesn't stand unless zipped, unfortunately.

And my favorite Dracula has got to be Gary Oldman.

PS: great example of a non-cutesy brooch outfit. Manspiration FTW.

  • AJ replied 10 years ago

This outfit is urban chic. No holiday sweatshirt to be seen. I regret not making time to stop at the Ash store while I was in NY. <sigh>

  • Neel replied 10 years ago

I am in love with this outfit!!!!  The jacket is sooo cool!  Perfect!

  • Shirley replied 10 years ago

Love that jacket. Can't believe it's cycling jacket?!

  • Aziraphale replied 10 years ago

Love it!  That skull necklace is super cute.  And I am drooling over your leather jacket.

  • CocoLion replied 10 years ago

Ha!  I forgot about Gary Oldman.  But I still stand by Christopher Lee.

Now you have me thinking about those Ash wedges for myself.  I wonder if I could attach a slip-resistant thing to the sole?

  • rae replied 10 years ago

Denise, there is a tread on the bottom, so I don't think a non-slip stick-on thing would stick. I don't find them to be slippery, though!
