Outfit Backlog

Hi, friends! I wanted to share my outfit backlog with you. Only you ladies can relate to my bootcut/flare experimentation and trying to find a way to wear them that feels like Rae 2015 and not Rae 2000.

We are also having a typical false Spring, so as you can see, I am not so bundled up - having to figure out the SS style too fast... ah, at least I will be ready when the real Spring gets here.

And today I will have to meet with a detective and DA about possibly testifying at a trial. Oy. Got to bust out that business capsule. o_0

I think your flares look great but I really love #4 and #5 because I feel like there is more "rae" personality in those for whatever reason. But you're looking really fantastic in #2  too.  I've had to testify at a trial before - not much fun, but it's one of those character building things I guess.

So glad to see your California girl style on my feed this morning!

Love #1 -- it's crisp and modern, with a flattering silhouette.  Love #5 for your signature flair.

Best wishes to you regarding the trial -- remember to speak up for yourself with attorneys.  There should be someone there whose job it is to be there for you.

SO great to see you. You look amazing as ever, Rae! I love your casual style. Great color combination and silhouette in 2. Love the drape of those pieces on your curves (or illusion of curves.) Just plain gorgeous! 4 is boho goodness--how I wish I could pull of something like this! Actually, how I wish I could pull of everything you wear. Looking fab, Rae!

Nice to see you!  Of course I love all of these but the addition of the hat in 5 sealed the deal for me :)

  • Janet replied 9 years ago

Nice to see you, and these outfits!

I love all of these looks on you, and again I'm so impressed at how well you wear a variety of silhouettes, while still putting your own stamp on each one. So well done. #2 is different for you, but in a WOW way. You're looking terrific, lady!

PS. Best of luck with the trial stuff.

Great looks Rae! Each one looks different from the next, but they all still look like you. Good luck with the trial stuff.

Lovely to see you! What a fab variety of looks. My favourite is 4 I think. Something about the kick a$$ boots and the long flowing cardigan that appeals. Love 2 as well for the fab colours and the gorgeous skirt.

You look fantastic! My fav is #2, I love that purse and the red skirt. Good luck with the trial stuff.

  • Marilyn replied 9 years ago

Great outfits!  I especially love #2 and #5.  Totally opposite looks but both awesome on you.

Good luck with the trial thing.  A friend of mine had to testify at a work related trial and he said it was nerve wracking.

    #3 and 4 are for me :D

You bring up something I wanted to discuss though: California's fifth season - False Spring. Except, I didn't really have anything to say except, Argh!

  • Joy replied 9 years ago

Rae, what a fab group of outfits! I think that 2 is my favorite but your variety is impressive and your bootcut styling looks wonderful. I need to take notes, especially if they are coming back.
False spring has hit here too. Highs in the 70's and even 80's followed by cold highs in the single digits and snow all within a few days. Crazy.

  • ElleH replied 9 years ago

I love the variety you have in your outfits. I tend to be more of a uniform dresser by default not choice. I love the mix of styles, sillouhettes, colours etc. I also love the yellow bag in #1 & the black & white bag too. I prefer warm weather but I'm wondering if I shopped too much for Fall/Winter this year with this false Spring we're having.

  • Suz replied 9 years ago

What Elle said! I was smiling not only to see you post but to see that you are still getting great use of those bags. You're looking wonderful in every outfit.

My stepdaughter is on her way in a few weeks to LA for a job interview. Boy, is she happy to be leaving our genuine 100% real winter for a "false spring." :)

Good luck with the trial stuff. Oy.

  • Jaime replied 9 years ago

Oh good luck with the trial. Or maybe you need bad luck for that. Great looks - I like the casual Rae looks!

  • Deborah replied 9 years ago

Having trouble getting past #2.  Stunning.  Your outfits are looking great and you are looking very well and happy.  I like the bootcuts a lot and find that top to be just the right shape and length for the jeans.

Rae, it's fun to see your evolving style. You are looking wonderful in all of these. I'm another fan of #2--what a fun, flattering, casual look. I also adore #5, with those olive tones and fab hat. (Did you get that with your father--am I recalling correctly?) Anyway, you look so cool in it.
Hey at least you have a business capsule! I'd be hard-pressed. Good luck!

Oh, my! From grunge-chic to lady-like elegance; you wear each of these outfits so well!
I see #2 has a nod to mermaid!
I am totally loving your tough boots!

Outfit 2!  OMG, so refreshing to see a ladylike casual outfit like this, and the color combos are interesting.  GREAT silhouette for you too.  Go hourglasses!

  • shipskitty replied 9 years ago

#2 and #4 are stunning on you but all these outfits are fab. Love your work!
