Outfit Recreation: Zella Coated Moto & Snub-Toe Booties

A couple times during the year, employees get an extra % off company-made products. I thought I was going to be the only one to dress up this coated, faux-lizard textured moto by Zella, but I think three of us wore it to work the same day, and all the employees are snapping it up! A nice light weight that is tolerable to wear until the Fall temps arrive and allow me to wear real leather. The coating is nice and soft and not sticky/waxy at all (pic 2).

I also asked about these snub-toe booties a couple of days ago, and they got mixed reviews from the forum - but darn it, they are just too comfy to ignore. Like, comparable to my Crocs flats comfy... but with a nice, reasonably high heel and platform. Plus I do love the striated seaming and peeks of red in the heels. I can handle a little bit of eccentricity in my footwear... I guess these are like Danskos for me, so look away if you hate the toe! lol

In other news, I think I'm totally over colored bottoms, but I'm forcing myself to wear them, because they're fairly new, I don't want to buy more dress pants, and colored pants are still big in stores. *shrug*

Ack! Love this Rae. The texture of the jacket paired with its delicious color is just sublime. And I have no problems with those booties and comfort rules all IMHO.

That jacket looks terrific on you! Wow. Who'd have guessed it would be an employee hit?

Really neat jacket, Rae! And the booties look good too.

That's a cool jacket!  I am intrigued by the fabrication - is it like the regular Zella techno stretch type fabric with a coating?
I was not the biggest fan of the boot toes but I think you wear it well, and a comfortable heel is worth its weight in gold.

By the way, since I'm sure you're very familiar with Zella, have you seen this jacket in person and would you recommend it?

I'm looking for a lightweight but not too gear-looking casual jacket for weekends and traveling.  Wondering how warm this thing is.  I can't figure out at all from the photos and description.  And what is the lining?  Is it like polar fleece (dealbreaker for me, I can't stand the static) or more like sweatshirt material?

I adore the colour of your jacket! That's the shade I want a trench in! I really like how you styled it with the loose tee under. Booties are fab too.

Diana, the moto I have is a techno stretchy fabric. The coating is kind of just like a screen print, except it has that sheen to it. It is very soft to the touch.

Unfortunately our store didn't get the jacket you linked to. Hopefully we'll get it when it cools down more, but who knows. I have had good luck with the Q&A section on the Nordies site - CS reps actually respond.

  • Diana replied 10 years ago

    Thanks, Rae, I'll try that.

I'm over colored bottoms too, at least skinnies. But still okay with pattern.

This outfit is fab, though. The pants read like a denim. The jacket looks way better on you than the stock photo.

Love the jacket. The sleeves were a little tight or it would be in my closet.

Love the jacket!!  Such a terrific find!

  • Sara L. replied 10 years ago

The jacket is great! Like Una, I thought the bottoms were just denim jeans at first.  I like the blue and purple combination.  I missed the thread on the booties, but I think they look good here.

Love the jacket! Wicking no less? How cool... (yes I am a dork for actually typing that) Great styling on the booties too :)

  • rae replied 10 years ago

    Hehe. Wicking is cool!

And man, some work days, I wish all clothes were wicking.

    Killer

    One of your best.

Rae - just stop it.  Right. Now.  You keep linking to items that I adore!  I think that I must be your 00Noir Grandmother - and I'm very proud that you are carrying on the family tradition.  :-)
I love, love, love the jacket - the color is soooo fallish looking - and the texture is wonderful - and the pairing with the blue pants adds a richness - of course, "Precious" brings its own personality to the look -  you look so great in this!  I hope that you feel great also!

This is a perfect work outfit, IMHO. Stylish but not flashy.

    I love the booties!

Rae, your posts are always dangerous for my jacket-collecting ways.

This looks totally fab. I love it all.

  • viva replied 10 years ago

Love the jacket and am drooling over your bag! It's making me rethink my plan to buy a classic black. Gorgeous.

  • MsMary replied 10 years ago

Oh my gosh!  This is FAB!!!

  • replied 10 years ago

Great styling.  Love the color, texture and even the snub nose.

  • JulieJohn replied 10 years ago

Whoa! That is terrific, what a great color and cool texture. I crown you Queen Jacket, and that's really saying something on this forum.
