Sand Snake's Day Off

Dashed off to happy hour for my lovely friend, who is leaving the bank where we used to work together. She is about to get married and focus on a business venture she's been working on for some time.

This is the first bank I worked at, full of fun, quirky personalities. I would have loved to stay there with my group of oddballs, but I was never offered a full-time position. I guess I simply had another fate, though, because that forced me to look for another position and ultimately land where I am. It was fun to see some friendly faces from the old days, especially since some did not recognize me with my short hair. I also enjoyed informing everyone that I now help dress people for a living. :)

After that, it was straight to Korean BBQ dinner with DH and a great couple we are friends with.

All in all, a great use of a day off of work!

I really enjoy seeing all your earthy colours. As another earthy colour person I find it inspiring to see what someone else does with them and it makes me feel good about wearing things that suit me.

And you look fab too of course. As always.

Such a lovely warm-weather dress Rae, and I would not have thought of wearing with long boots. Looks Fab!

Another fan of the warm colours! Love the dress and boots. Great bag too.
It sounds like you had a lovely day catching up with old colleagues, glad you had fun.

Nicola, glad to have you on Team Earthy! Greenglove is another forum member who wears lovely earthy colors (if you want to check out her outfit posts for more inspiration). I find modern and classic items in earthy colors to be very exciting right now - for a long time I thought you had to be bohemian to wear an "earthy" outfit.

I love the dress and white bag together. What a revelation about wearing the Earthy colors in a classic way!

You look great, and what a fantastic day off!

Thanks Rae. I'll check her out :-). Glad to be firmly in team earthy. I completely get the boho thing - I've always had a dread of brown and orange together but earthy colours are so me and I'm always looking for great ways to wear them. I find it easy to veer off into the realm of too taupey (even today...i dont know how it happens) and have to pull myself back to more golden colours. I'm really inspired by seeing how you make them work.

I love it.  Purse gives  nice balance to the earthy dress.

Love this look! Flawless. Glad you had a busy, fun day off. I'm a bit envious, missing city life.

This dress is one of my very favourites of yours. It always looks gorgeous on you. Love the bright white handbag with it.
