Self-Imposed Ankle Boot Challenge: Matisse Leopard

My car was parked on the wrong side this morning, so I am backlit! Doh!

But in other news, I decided to (partially) solve my Fall-boredom-Spring-jumping-the-gun ambivalence by celebrating one of my favorite transitional items: booties. To do this, I'm going to try and wear a different pair of short boots every day until I run out and have to repeat. Soon, it will be Time to Wear Sandals (so many of my inspiration outfits use a simple black sandal!), so I wanted to let all my booties have their time in the sun.

Since the outfit pic is lightened so much, I included stock photos of my pieces.

Anyone care to join me in celebrating ankle boots?

Hudson Collin Signature Skinnies - Rack
Matisse Nugent booties - Zappos
Muubaa Nassau jacket - Ebay
B. Makowsky Shimmer satchel - Ebay
Michael Stars A-shirt - $1 at flea market
Belt - flea market
Navigator sunnies - Nordies

I love those ankle boots. And that looks like a great outfit. But I am sorry, I cannot join this celebration because at the moment I need my -40 rated SNOWboots and nothing else will do. All my booties are languishing unworn except when I "sneak" them in the house instead of wearing slippers. Sigh.

Well Rae I am with you - wear all booties now while it is still possible. I love these and from what I can see your outfit is great!

Looks great!  And I'd love to join, once I find a pair.  Sigh.
I do think it's crazy that we are in the 50's and 60's here in FL and you guys are seeing 70's and 80's.

This sounds like a fun challenge! I'll have to think about doing something similar with my shoes when the weather gets warmer. Like Suz, it's been nothing but snowboots for me. The high today was still below 0F. Ugh.

Thanks for posting the stock photos. I could not see the bootie pattern at all in your photo. And, what a great idea to wear all your boots.

Great idea!  Love all of the individual pieces and how you pulled them together.  LA is a great place for booties, well most of California is.  I want a pair of partially open booties so I can wear them in the Summer too.  Although those might not be 90-proof which is what I need.

Love the booties and the bag.

Fun outfit! I like the booties with boyfriend jeans. That is a new look for me.  I haven't worn my matisse booties in while. I would love to join your challenge but it is 12 degrees here!

What an excellent idea to let your booties enjoy these longer days (and hello bootie twin!) before your sandals take over!  You know how to impose great style so effortlessly.

Rae - bootie girl here!!  Love your idea.  Unfortunately too much snow here so I will be in snow boots for quite awhile before I can join you!!  You look marvelous as always.  Love the booties, love the jacket (so gorgeous!!)  and edgy, refined style!!  So fab!!

Swooning over those booties! Hard to see the outfit, so thank you for including the stock photos. I know the outfit looked fab!

I would join you, but it only have a handful pairs of booties, all of which have been worn at least 3 times already some a lot more. :)

Rae - thanks to your post on the Matisse - I bought a pair myself and I have been dying to wear them but horrible snow weather only getting worse - hopefully spring is close - and this is a challenge I am definitely up for! Have fun though wearing all those awesome booties!
