Shark Week at Work

Post and run from the lunch room!

When I first got this jacket, I could not help but be reminded of shark skin...

So today, I have paired the Ella Moss moto with cobalt blue and light gray in order to play up the effect. I enjoy how the jacket works with button fronts! I feel it will be a workhorse this year for work and play alike. The colors are just dark enough to be moody, but not so dark as to ne depressing in s/s.

Olivia Moon skirt - Nordies

Rockport boots - Ebay

Love this Rae! The overall silhouette is pretty classy and polished, and then the RATE and UWP come in with the details.

Love this on you! I really like it paired with the skirt. Pretty yet with an edge.

Your legline looks fabulously long in this outfit, Rae! Nicely styled.

I'll have to try my Gap moto with button downs. Thanks for the idea.

Very long and lean, fabulous silhouette on you! And the pieces are so stylish. Have a good day styling and selling!

How is it possible that you look sassy, polished and RATE?! You wear this juxtaposition so well.
I enjoy seeing your posts because you force me to consider and appreciate looks that are not my style (to be filed away for later and drawn upon for inspiration when I need just the right element to keep my own look from getting too flat). You rock Rae!

I love it, stylish and approachable. Are you getting any feedback from colleagues re. attire?

Ok...this is now a new Rae fave for me! Love the colours, the silhouette, the sassiness, the UWP vibe and yet still appropriate for work look you have going on here. Absolutely gorgeous!

Wow, this is fabulous, Rae! You look sensational. Love the jacket with the shirt, and what a fun idea to play with the sharkskin idea. I wonder if anyone will notice?

OMG Rae, you keep posting amazing outfits and threads which I simply can't keep up with (sorry, life gets in the way :-) ), but every time I see your new WIW I think the same: you are in the zone, you have so much fun, you are finally you style-wise. Not that you were not you before, don't get me wrong, I actually think the restrictive banker-style wardrobe did your own style development a world of good. I wrote a post at the end of last year in which I mentioned something you said which taught me a valuable lesson:
Personality comes through in less pieces than I'd thought...sometimes the only "twist" in my outfit ...was enough for me to feel like "me".

    But this is simply different.

Your playground is much bigger style-wise and you no longer have to look for subtle ways to express yourself, yet you don't seem overwhelmed by the possibilities but use the new styling freedom in such inspiring way, you always let the best pieces shine. Not to mention your new hair which revealed just how pretty you really are, which is really strange because I loved your long hair and thought it amazing on you, but I guess you are the lucky one who can wear anything on her head.

I just love how you were inspired by the shark and how you recreated it, not to mention how much I love that jacket on you which does seem to be one of your best buys so far.
