Taupe is the New Brown

For me, anyway.

After doing a good job selling off other boots, I came across these Paul Greens with about 3 million rave reviews. They were expensive, but I did have my discount. I could at least see what the fuss was about.

Now That I am in them, I am totally hooked and drinking the kool-aid. Will have to sell some more clothes, but that is ok... because as my body gets pickier, I find I can wear less and less of my closet, anyway.

Thankfully my pants were only about 50 cents, and my top was free, or I'd have to turn in my One Dollar Wonders badge.

    Congrats on the boots and that's some fine kool-aid you're drinking. I think taupe is a beautiful color and I have my eye on a pair of Aquatalias that I love, but seem to look different in two different photos. So, this gives me pause in the purchase, but not in the idea, because I think this neutral would play well with a lot of clothes.

    Yeah, I've become a convert to taupe recently as well. I think our taupester Suz had a lot to do with it. I can't see your boots too well in the photo, but I googled. Are they the "Optimist"? If so, yeeaaaaah!!! Gorgeous.

    I think taupe would bookend my hair pretty well, it's ash-brown, so taupe shoes have become a mandatory item on my list. Just haven't found 'em yet!

    I'm loving taupe too. When my hair was brown it didn't do anything for me. But now that my hair is silver (ok, white) taupe looks great.

    TAUPE BOOTS!! Rae, please, oh, please tell me what style these are and how tall they are!! I am in a desperate search for taupe boots....I have found my grey, but the taupe eludes.....

    Suz, Julie had it right: they are the Paul Green Optimist, and from back sole to top the shaft is 15" on my size 9s. Probably smaller on your size - I would measure them at the store, but we don't have this style.
