WIW: Gimme some milk in a dirty glass.

The SoCal YLF swap at Vicki's this weekend was off-the-charts fabulous! Here I am wearing a bit of my loot:

- Classiques Entrier cream silk shirt
- H&M tuxedo vest
- Wet N' Wild Megalast nail polish in "On a Trip"

Loving every minute of it. I am tickled by the way that the vest has a curved hem to match the shirt tails. At the swap, I tried these items and dubbed it my "sexy bartender" look - hence the title of the post. :)

My cold has really put a damper on DIY July - I haven't done half the things I want to do, but the month is already half over. Humbug! I will try to do better from here on out.

Other items pictured:

Handmade skirt - swap meet
Dr. Martens Marcie boots - Shoebuy
B. Makowsky bag - DIY project, bag via Ebay

You made that skirt? I've always loved that one. It's fab. Sorry to hear you aren't feeling well, but you look great!

Get better soon Rae - this has gone on long enough!

This outfit is great - love the idea of sexy bartender!

Sorry the cold will not go and leave you alone. I love the vest!

Wow, score! Love that shirt and vest. Your going to have loads of fun with those.

    Thanks, everyone!

Amy, unfortunately I can't claim this as my own. It is hand sewn, but not by me - I scored it at the swap meet. Strangely, it is my best fitting skirt and seems to look great no matter if I gain weight or lose it.

The cold is on the way out (*knock on wood*), but it did steal a good week of productivity. :T

    Love your post title!
You look great. the vest is a nice third piece to complete the outfit, and that skirt is definitely a winner.

Rae I love the manspiration in this feminine ensemble. The coppery pop of color in the skirt adds a lovely dash of steampunkery.

I love this look so much, Rae. Something about all the shiny textures and the combo of soft and structure really speaks to me.

    Hope you feel better soon!

This is an amazing look! Did you shorten that skirt or make it completely? And do you wear socks with your botos? Are they showing? I can't really tell from the picture, but I love the fit of the Marcies on you.

You look rae-mazing!! I'm loving the idea of all of us wearing our swap loot to work today!! And I would love to have you as my bartender... I would pour out my sorrows to you and then leave a big tip! LOL

    So RUGBY!

    So Rae.

    What's not to love?

I think you need a striped scarf so that you can keep the vibe of the outfit when at your desk sans the bag.

  • rae replied 11 years ago

Hehe, Mary, maybe I should keep that in mind for a career change... if only I could be assured of all YLF customers.

Una, I usually wear socks (tucked in), but I went barefoot today. Doing fine!

Angie, you had me at Rugby! Hm, adding a striped scarf to wishlist... for now I will set my bag at my elbow on the desk. :)
