Still ridiculously hot, so I keep flip-flopping between summer and fall looks. Thought I'd wear this flea market tee once before baseball season is gone for good. Paired with Sylvie's sandals from our Shoptoberfest swap. Also rocking some wild bedhead thanks to Kari's powdered hair wax, which Aida and I both snapped up when we saw it at The Rack. I wore it yesterday as well, but I really like how messy my hair looks after sleeping on it - yes, messy hair is kind of a novelty for me. ;)

I think it's kind of funny that it takes hair product to get your hair to look like mine does naturally - messy and out of control. Also, from the other side of the fence, I really don't understand why someone who has beautifully controlled hair would want messy hair. :)
You still look fab, as always. So glad those sandals are getting some love (I swear I used to fall over while wearing them).

The wax is Big Sexy Hair's "Powder Play" formula. It goes on as a powder but gives texture, definition, and pliability like my wax does (I used Bumble & Bumble's sumotech before). The powder is much easier to apply and apply evenly.

Cute! LOVE the messy hair!! I haven't tried sleeping in mine yet, totally going to use the wax in place of my dry shampoo at night for texture. I really like the "controlled chaos" instead of my usual "feeble attempt at controlling the chaos" effect this stuff has :)

I love your casual-but-chic outfit. I think your hair looks great and I'm also interested in this hair product. Is it more for texture and hold, or would it be good for adding volume to fine hair? Ya know, I'm just going to try it- I've been desperate for something to control wild grey hairs and frizz- thanks for posting about it!

Sinead, my hair is fine and it certainly does add texture and volume (not really for hold). You need to twist/tease it a bit, but it works quite well.
