WIW: Up and down the CA coast

This weekend took us from LA to Huntington Beach to San Diego - two swap meets, an aircraft carrier, an island, and a paragliding cliff (just watching for us!).

#1 was worn the second day for sight-seeing in San Diego with the inlaws. I followed Marley's advice and stripped and reapplied my layers as needed. I tried many versions of this with different jackets and this looked the best, but I'm not 100% thrilled with it. Thankfully, I was in the dress only for most of the day.

#2 was worn to an outdoor concert, because I was worried the white jeans would end up grass-stained. Unfortunately it got chilly and the top was covered most of the time.

#3 is what I'm wearing today to resume regular life - I guess I'm not quite ready to let go of the weekend, since I'm keeping the citron/olive color scheme alive.

    I think they all turned out fab! I like the long layer over the dress - nice proportions to my eye.

    #2 - Always love you in citron, and paired with olive is even better! Great booties too (which ones are those?)

    #3 - glad you kept the citron going a bit longer - nicely done with greys and the khaki bag. The citron just is SO alive on you ;-)

    Great outfits, Rae, but I'm smitten with you in that citron blouse. I just love it, both casual and dressed up. It's fab.

    Yay for citron and olive! They look great together and I love your outfits. The hem on those white jeans is AMAZING! I have never seen or noticed that, are they new? How cool is that point with the boots? Dang, girl. You know you got it goin' on. ;)

    I love outfits #2 and #3 so much! You wear citron really well. The first outfit....I love the top half but am unsure about the white jeans with it.

    The booties are the famous Report Marks. I always pull them out when I know I will be walking. They are the BEST.

    Claire, good eye! Shame on me for not saying before that the jeans were Denise's from the recent YLF swap! They are DL1961 moto jeans with zippers on the inner ankles, which is what gives them the cool hemline.

    Really like all three of these Rae but #2 is just spectacular! Love the pairing of the citron with the green shorts - brilliant!

    I was not sure about the white jeans with the dress, either, but I had to be able to change whenever and wherever, so it had to be layers under a dress for me. Can you tell I am not used to dramatic temperature changes?

    Thank you for all the citron compliments - very happy the color loves me back. I can't wait for my "sabbatical" so I can while away some days dying things citron. :)

    That citron + khaki combination is fabulous. Because of that, my favorite is #2, with #3 in the runner up position.

    These outfits reflect a great wardrobe capsule, Rae. I love all the outfits and cannot pick a favourite. 10, 10 and 10!

    Wearing citron with olive really brightens it up. Yummy :)
