WIW: UWP Fatigues

In case you were not aware, my official rank in the UWP military is Major Dork (highly decorated). As such, when I have Things to Do, I sometimes dress in theme. Today, I'm ready for action in this FAB silk Escada blouse in citron-and-olive almost-camo print - from Saturday's swap party, naturally. *waving at MaryK again*

Thank you to everyone who lent me wisdom on my "strength to be bold" thread - I'm launching into the fray today!

Escada silk blouse - swap party
Express fishtail skirt - swap meet
H&M blazer - swap meet
B. Makowsky shimmer crossbody - Ebay
Fergie Major boots - Nordstrom
Cat skull pendant - The Pewter Wolf on Etsy

P.S. Would it be less confusing if I started calling the "swap meet" a "flea market" so as not to confuse it with the YLF swap parties?

March on with your acid-green standard held high, Rae! You look kickass!

"'Ten Hut!! Officer on deck!!" I believe that's how they say it in the "Mar-can forces"

Better a Major Dork than and General Disaster.

    Objective in sight!! Charge!!!

I was there when Escada was discovered. How fun!
Love the military vibe, yet the outfit fits a business casual environment. Bravo!
It's about 100 degrees here today, your blazer and boots seem like a distant dream to me at the moment. Poor Una, she is coming to hell.

I expect you will be having that conversation today, yes?

Love the peep of citron - worthy of a commendation Major D.

Oof, yes, I would rather not be General Disaster!

Zap, you are correct - it is done, and the outfit served me well. Here is the update I just posted:

UWP? I haven't been able to figure that one out.

You look great. Again. Seriously, do you ever have an off day? LOL!

  • rae replied 11 years ago

Oops, sorry, JR! UWP stands for Urban Warrior Princess - a style statement coined by Alaskagirl (Una). It's now a mini "tribe" here on YLF.

I do have off days, though I try not to leave witnesses. ;)

Yay!! I loved that shirt so much when I saw it at the Fancy Upscale Upper East Side Consignment Boutique, and I am so happy it's found its rightful home with you!! YLF!!

... now excuse me while I go read the update...

After your Manspiration series I DO love your style even more. And every outfit is better and better. This one is no exception.

Love!! I'm glad the boots helped, they seriously rock :D And I have to say I especially love this length skirt with the taller boots, going to have to try that myself.

(I have no problem with swap meet vs swap party! You could always do YLF swap, which is what I use on my blog.)
