WIW: Double-Citrus UWPrep

Wearing three new favorite swap meet scores today: orange linen sweater, Kasil jeans, and the rescued Ted Baker leather and calf hair bag. Hubs is showing his preppy roots, because he is ON BOARD with all my preppy ensembles lately - first the boat shoes and now this! Nice change from the suspicious confusion over my more warlike looks. :)

As I continue DIY July, last night I officially started my crazy leather cat bag project. It doesn't look like much now, but I hope it turns out well in the end, because I'd love to do more projects like this.

    Oooo, you finally got a fab orange sweater! And it fits SO well, YAY! Great outfit, and I can't wait to see how the cat bag turns out. I think all DIY projects have a "OMG, what have I done?" phase, but I have great faith in your skilz, Rae!

    Angie, I was inspired by this line of handbags I spotted in Italy. At $200 euro (and not even leather, as I later learned), they were too rich for my blood, but I couldn't get them out of my mind. Mine will be modeled after one of my favorite art prints of cats at a sushi bar. :)

    I thought I'd say you look like an uber-hip student, but was afraid you wouldn't take that as a compliment...so I'll just say this getup is fantastic. Sometimes casual, deceptively simple looks are really the hardest to put together. I love the orange sweater on you so much, it ain't funny.
