It's no secret that DH is not a fan of boyfriend and skinny looks, and he always compares new jeans to the Good Old Days of bootcuts. In fall and winter, I can argue that skinnies with tall boots are much warmer and safer from the elements, and in summer I can argue that boyfriends allow more airflow, but it seems spring in LA provides perfect bootcut weather. I busted out these engineer striped Hudson Hendrix bootcuts just for DH - and good boy, he noticed and complimented the choice. :)
There's a weird shadow on my tummy that sort of gives me a potbelly, but I really don't think that was there IRL. Since the jeans were striped, I wanted the rest fairly "classic" - which in my world apparently includes cropped military jackets (the military has been around a long time, right?). Brought my DIY ombre Marc Jacobs Stella to brighten things up for the season.

LOL at Liz. I was thinking the same thing (about me, not her). You know, my DH also admitted to not being a fan of the BF jeans, and always compliments me when I wear more fitted jeans. Oh well. I think it's fine to appease once in awhile, and you look great in both, IMHO.

I'm going to have to ask my DBF what has jeans preferences are. (He's very diplomatic and tends to like whatever makes me happy, it's going to be a challenge getting the truth from him.) These look great Rae and I love the green Marc Jacobs bag. Also I wanted to mention I really like all of your outdoor photo locations but also kind of miss seeing the kitty who used to model in your indoor shots. So I'm kinda torn. :-)

My husband loves jeans, and particularly light wash flares with a simple teeshirt. I wear this for him but I feel so uncomfortable and "not me" in jeans, let alone scruffy jeans and a teeshirt. It is difficult. My style is about as far from his as possible. I'm not someone who would refuse to wear what pleases the man I love, but I have great difficulty making my husband's preferred attire for me feel like me, so I sympathise!

It's funny what men vs. women prefer. Most of the men I know, my husband included, are not into trendy. I don't know if that's a regional thing or what, but I have noticed it. -
