Manspiration Month: Magneto

Ok, so today's inspiration wasn't so much chosen for his magnetic personality as he was for his ability to wear purple. In fact, Saturday's inspiration wouldn't like him very much at all. He's considered a villain, but his camp has evolved to think humans are the real enemy.

Wearing my home-made fuse necklace... because all villains have a short fuse, right?

(Ok, I'm really reaching with today's inspiration, but it's a perfect cloudy morning to wear this bright trench!)

Ha, you have managed to work that orchid trench into your wardrobe without looking like a mutant after all! (I never had any doubt you could do it). Love the homemade fuse necklace!

And, a day late for father's day but here is a favorite corny quote from my physicist dad: "He who controls magnetism controls the world!"

Fantastic! This outfit really has the X-factor!! Love the orchid trench!!

Love everything about this outfit Rae! First off, you look soooooo gorgeous in that citron blouse and then to top it off with that delicous purple trench - YOWZA!!! Such animal magnetism - glad you skipped the dorky helmut hat though - would have ruined your overall look!

Fantastic outfit to the Max, Rae! Love the splash of citron with those iron-ore hues, LOVE the bright if short-circuited necklace. All your sharp tangy colours are so attractively pulled together in this outfit.

But all nicely grounded by those boots so that you don't look excessively hard-headed either, as Shannon says!

    Super cute!

Wow Rae, the colours of the blouse and trench look so great on you! :-)

    Yep, feeling the magnetism.

Love that trench. Glad you kept it.

Woot! Love the new orchid trench. It's a great opposite to the yellow blouse, which is a great adjacent color to the orange-y red bag. Yum-alicious!

What a wonderful combination of purple and citron! That little trench is lovely on you! I am guessing your manspiration is "purple man"?

Sir Ian McKellen grew up in my home town, I would be exiled if I did not guess this one correctly.

I've always been more of a Patrick Stewart kind of woman myself, but I love the inspiration for this outfit, and it is the perfect opportunity to wear that gorgeous trench!

Go team wear! I love this trench on its own and now paired with citron blouse, it is just gorgeous.

We have some great comic knowledge on this forum - almost all the guesses were spot on.

Diana, your dad is so cute. Are you sure he doesn't moonlight as a mutants' rights activist? ;)

Manidipa, you have really packed in those puns! A joy to read.

Echo, I think you have given me an idea for another manspiration involoving the citron blouse! I'll be getting Trekkie next week. :)

Love these colors, and the orchid trench is just awesome! The color pairings and the fact that indoor/outdoor are different is right up my alley (I wore purple and orange last week, too!). Fun fuse necklace, clever idea.

(I enjoyed reading all the punny responses to the inspiration character ^^)

These colours put me into a good mood! A perfect rainy Spring day outfit.
