WIW: An Abstract Concept

I bought this dress for a buck hoping to do a DIY somewhere along the lines of these Nicole Miller "refracted light" dresses. However, my dye isn't here yet, and I wanted to just throw something on and go today (still not feeling 100%), so I wore the dress pre-dye. I don't know if this is one of my best outfits, but it's comfortable and not fussy.

Since I don't have a DIY project in my outfit today, that means I will have to plow ahead with my cat-applique bag tonight and report back. :)

    I can't wait to see what you do to that dress! It looks perfectly fine in the picture today (and sometimes I like to wear things pre-DIY too--it's like getting a two-fer). The abstract print of the cardi looks great with it.

    I'm loving this outfit a LOT as is. GREAT pattern-mixing. Very futuristic UWP, that silhouette.
    And it's always fun to see the Rae-bot! She goes with everything.

    Claire, a two-fer is just what I was thinking, too. Although sometimes I end up getting attached to the original and then I have to buy something else for the DIY... o_0

    Kate, thank you for noticing Elliott there in the corner... Hank is usually my photoshoot partner, but it looks like my other boy is getting catwalk fever as well.
