WIW: Come Fly Away

This is my K/R post from last night, so I won't bore you too much here - unzipped the wrist zips, slapped on some makeup, and paired with my green snakey bag. I'm a happy girl because this skirt did not fit when I put it into storage in the Fall. Yay for sloooooowly losing the cold-weather weight... I actually haven't been exercising much, and I *think* I owe this to my new probiotic regimen. I'll take it...

Express pencil skirt - swap meet
Sleeveless cranberry shirt - swap meet
B. Makowsky shimmer snake bag - Ebay
Fergie Major boots - Nordstrom clearance
Bebe Asymmetrical Leatherette Jacket - Bebe

You are going to LOVE this jacket - it's perfect on you!

About half way through the day, and I really do love it! Perfect for keeping warm at my desk in a spring-like way.

Wouldn't you know I brought BBQ for lunch today... o_0

Love your new jacket! It looks perfect.

BBQ with a white jacket? You're brave! Hope you ate leaning WAAAAYYYYY over...

  • Victoria replied 7 years ago

This is really cool outfit! I love it, its very edgy and those booties are awesome!

  • rae replied 7 years ago

I took the jacket off for the entire process. :)

  • Diana replied 7 years ago

You look fab! So jealous that you can wear boots and leather still...

  • replied 7 years ago

It looks so fabulous on you! Much better than it does on the model, IMO. Was this the same outfit you posted last night in your K/R? I'll have to go back and check, because I only had eyes for the jacket last night! Anyway, this is a great outfit, and I love it with the skirt and boots. The jacket really whittles your waist and I love its slim sleeves. I was really craving some white for you, and this makes me sublimely happy! And I think the price is well worth it. That's what I paid for my clay moto, and I have never regretted it!

Diana, it is the benefit of having zero internal temperature regulation. ;)

Claire, I almost didn't believe this was the same jacket, from looking at the stock photo - how silly that they put the model in a size small, I think that's what did it. Anyway, yes, this is the same outfit. I am with you on the white and the way the hem creates a nice hourglass shape -- I have a feeling that this jacket may be favored over my cream cardigan.

Love, love, LOVE! What a fab jacket, I think this will be so so perfect for you to brighten up your moody colors for spring/summer! Also, your hair looks amazing in this photo, did you do anything different? Those shaggy bangs rock!

  • Sveta replied 7 years ago

LOVE - this jacket is perfect fr your style, Rae!

  • nicoleb replied 7 years ago

Oh Rae, you are just too cool for school. Love it.

  • shevia replied 7 years ago

Love this jacket and did not even realize that it was k/r. Great!

  • Deborah replied 7 years ago

I loved it yesterday and I love it even more today! Rae this looks fantastic. You are going to get so much enjoyment wearing this:)

    Stunning! Perfect for spring!

  • Debora replied 7 years ago

    So lovely!

  • Ana replied 7 years ago

OMG, love this Rae! Very edgy and polished. I love the longer pencil skirt with the boots. This is a very cool outfit.

  • rae replied 7 years ago

Thanks very much! I am already plotting how I can wear this jacket again. :)

Aida, my hair is kinda overgrown and getting heavy and limp, so I realllly attacked it with texturizing stuff and tried to muss it up for volume. Thank you for the compliment; I am glad the effort was worth it!

  • Aunty replied 7 years ago

    Oh Rae!!! You look superb.

That jacket is to die for and you are yourself looking very KILLER :)

  • Janet replied 7 years ago

I love the jacket and the whole look!

Like Diana, I am envious that you can wear a jacket this time of year. I miss my jackets. The temp got down to 68 overnight here so I'm throwing all the windows open for a while until it heats back up!

  • morethanbeige replied 7 years ago

Smokin' jacket! LOVE. I've been known to wear bibs while eating, because I love off-white. Glad no BBQ issues! Ha!

  • replied 7 years ago

Such a cool look, slender lady!

  • citygirldc replied 7 years ago

Gorgeous. Chic. Cool. I'm running out of adjectives.

  • Aida replied 7 years ago

(Well goodness, please attack away! The textured bangs are just super, an extra shot of UWP that looks especially awesome in contrast to how gloriously straight and shiny the rest of your hair is :D )

  • Vicki replied 7 years ago

There it is and I love it! I think this will become a jacket you will use in so many ways, dressed up and down. It looks so good on you, Rae, and the sleek and trim silhouette is so much better on you than the Bebe model, as Claire noticed. You've got a good eye for these things when you shop!
