WIW: Retail Regalia, Shift Four, Frye Vera

Since we're allowed to wear colored and treated denim (a manager was in waxed burgundy the other day), I busted out these ombre skinnies - scouted by the fabulous MaryK during Shoptoberfest - with my Zella Z-Quilt jacket thrown over for my commute and for errands afterward. The jeans are even a brand we currently carry, so I felt good about things.

Footwear - Frye Vera
Shift Length - 5 hours
Foot Pain - Minimal (minor rubbing near pinky toe)

Zella jacket - Nordstrom
B. Makowsky bag - Ebay
Jolt jeans - Marshall's
Frye Vera - Amazon
Men's belt - flea market
Cougar skull necklace - The Pewter Wolf, Etsy
(stopped) Nixon watch - flea market

How were your footsies today Rae? I would imagine the Fryes would be very comfortable. Those jeans are incredibly gorgeous and I love the vibrant colour mix with the turquoise uniform tee.

Those jeans are truly gorgeous on you. You are the perfect billboard for them.

    Those jeans are incredible.
For the sore toe, may I suggest "New Skin". You paint it on like nail polish and if will form a temporary callous until the shoes and the feet are worn in.
You can get this at any drugstore.

Those are amazing jeans! I want some like that. I actually really like the color combo with the turquoise uniform tee too.

Glad to hear the Fryes are pretty comfy!

Oh my goodness, you've found a job! Congratulations! You look great, of course......I'm off to find out what's been going on.

Those jeans are all kinds of awesome!! I applaud you trying to keep stylish footwear in the mix - some times professional clogs or sneakers are just what you need for the job.

GREAT jeans! Shopping with friends (with an eagle eye) pays off. I'm with Una that your feet will toughen with time.

Wow! I love number one, and those jeans are gorgeous! Great boots! I second the New Skin - I also use duct tape.

Are those jeans ombré? Swoon. I want! Even though I already have dark burgundy skinnies...

I love the color pairing and will have to try this myself. It looks like you are enjoying your Zella jacket as much as I am enjoying mine!

  • Joy replied 11 years ago

Love this on you, especially the skinnies. I like them best in #1, probably because of the low contrast.

Great jeans, with that ombre dying! Bet you got some compliments, too!:-)

Loving you in those fab jeans!

When I'm putting my feet through grueling days, I've never been able to wear the same pair of shoes two days in a row. I've also carried a spare apir to change into half way through an especially demanding day. Both of those help a little.

Good luck building up their stamina and building up your comfort shoes selection ;-)

Totally rocking the burgundy with biker boots!

(Oh man I'm kicking myself for not getting those jeans, too!!) Fab way to interpret the uniform :)
