Another Bomber-Alternative Ensemble

While technically a moto style, I think this purple jacket has enough drape to fit it into the Pencil Midi and Bomber Jacket outfit category.

Went matchy-matchy with purple jacket and purple pencil skirt. Not-so-plain white tee, tortoise necklace, and calf hair leopard booties to dress it up a tick. And of course, le zipper tote (which, hm, I haven't put down since I started using it). Next time I want to try it with my citron bag, but I needed to fit my lunch in here today!

I have been feeling out of my outfit groove a bit lately, so going back to my trusty knit pencil skirt was brilliant. High happiness factor today. The tee is a dupe of one I already had in navy - I think I need more of this Aiko brand in my life. :)

Zella moto - Nordies
Aiko tee - TJ Maxx
Purple pencil - H&M
D&G bag - Ebay
Matisse booties - Zappos
Tortoise chain - flea market
Sunnies - Nordies

Love the look, Rae.  I'm impressed how well you've managed to integrate the Matisse booties into your style --  just the right amount of detail!

Ooohhh, purple with warm toned animal print...a combo I don't think I've seen yet! I likey!

    Just gorgeous, lovely jacket :)

Fabulous look! Though, I cannot figure out what is the crown jewel of the outfit - violet leather jachet or the booties? Very interesting outfit.

Very Ines de la Fressange...love the jacket, tee and especially the D&G bag...

Love this! I'm glad you kept that bag.

I wish I could find Aiko stuff in TJs here.

I love how that bag is working for you, Rae. And the jacket looks wonderful here. So fab with the booties, which are unexpected and dramatic.

Great outfit. YLF! Really love the leopard booties with the purple jacket.

...and I'm so glad you kept the D&G bag. Speaking as someone who usually carries everything but the kitchen sink in my bag, your bag looks great with everything you've carried it with thus far!

Super. I actually prefer the line of this jacket, with its slight waist definition, to the bomber style.

Great look! I am with Lantana, I too prefer this jacket to a bomber style.

    Absolutely gorgeous!

    Super cute.

So cute!! Nice rich colors, I wouldn't have known the skirt was purple if you hadn't said so (looks black on my screen, boo). I'm glad you wear motos now (I recall some hesitation, long ago!), they work fabulously for you.

Okay, i'll let you in the category --the jacket isn't super-moto and is a beautiful color. The leopard booties are such a great "color" to go with the purple!

  • Karie replied 10 years ago

Those booties are fantastic, and the entire outfit looks perfect with that jacket.

I like it knees up. The university of Washington colors are gold/yellow & purple, so I have a bit of a poison eye for the combination. But you are far away from Seattle, so you should be safe.

  • CocoLion replied 10 years ago

Perfect, and the leopard booties are so unexpected with the purple and white color scheme but they work.  I am glad you are embracing the D&G bag!  It is very fashionista (a compliment coming from me) without being current-trend-slave.
