Anyone have printed trench inspiration to share?

I found the below trench at the swap meet for a cool $2 - the catch was that it has some black sharpie marks on the back, sleeves, and hem. Not a ton, but I thought I would take the opportunity to make my own printed trench.

I was just ogling the Desigual trench in pic #2, but it seems like it would be a DIY better suited to a black trench. Have you seen any cool prints out there that might work on my SSB confection? I'd most likely be using Jacquard Textile Colors (paints without bleeding for crisp lines) or Dynaflow (works more like a watercolor), both of which leave the fabric soft.

I remember there was a beige version of my red Anthro Pansy Corset Trench with flowers on it. Not sure if that would be too difficult, but it might be a great challenge...if anyone could do it you could Rae! Otherwise, how about black trim to mimic the Kate Spade Topliner trench? Here's one DIY version:

Or, how about black polka dots!
Even better--dalmatian print to match your booties! Now that would be to die for!

That's a great trench Rae! Have you considered trying to remove the sharpie marks? It looks like some people have success with alcohol when I googled it. That way you could do whatever you wanted with the trench without needing to worry about the marks (if it would even work). I like GP's ideas, though.

Ooh, Natalie, I don't even like polka dots normally, but I'm loving that one you linked. I don't know if it will hide the marks, but it sure is cool!

Jem, I might give it a try, but I have a feeling the color is soul-sucking beige on me as-is. Though if I removed the marks, maybe I could give it an orange collar or something for contrast?

I also like the idea of doing some kind of floral, or a nature scene.

I'm envisioning a black and white (or, well, black and beige, I guess) largeish floral print. maybe like the Kate Spade Japanese floral print?

Oooh, those are gorgeous pics Rae!

If you do orange, you have to copy this Burberry trench I was drooling over before:

Oooh, Diane has another great idea--would love to see the Japanese floral print on the outside of the trench rather than on the inside!

Ooh, a graphic black/beige would be cool, too! So many options - fan print, Celtic knotwork, geometric shapes... hm, too many options. I may have to thrift another coat, lol...

If it's natural fiber, just dye it! If somebody already suggested that sorry.
