Late Blushing Lemming

I was on the fence about the fit of this Ebayed Muuba that I love on Una and Mo, but DH gave it the thumbs up so I ran with it. It was almost half the price of the rose gold one I have.... And since I have not worn that one yet I am thinking I will resell it. I still love it but it feels OTT for everyday. At least for me...

What do you think? Too big? Nicely oversized? The light weight is great for indoors.

Nicely over-sized.  It's adds a great deal of interest to the all black look.

    You know I love it!

    I like this one better.

Beautiful, and love it against all the black.

    Looks good, Rae!

    Looks awesome!

It looks great, Rae! But only you know if you will truly wear it...and I know you have this love/hate thing for leather jackets.

  • Mo replied 10 years ago

I think you know how I feel . . . why do you feel it's OTT?  I can say it's one of the few jackets I'm totally comfortable wearing anywhere.  (including my flight over here with tennis rackets sticking out of my back pack and big cat slung in a carrier over my shoulder lol)  Very interesting.  I feel my snakeskin textured black blazer is less wearable day to day (and it only cost me $10 on eBay so I know it's not a price thing)

Beautiful Rae and I love the cropped length on you!

  • Sara L. replied 10 years ago

I like the color and the cropped length.  I think it's interesting but not OTT.

  • catgirl replied 10 years ago

I think she means the rose-gold is OTT Mo?

  • Mo replied 10 years ago

Ooohhh . . . [slaps forehead].  Damn placement of pronouns gets me every time.

    The fit works well.

I didn't know you liked blush or any shade of pink actually. This is a lovely surprise. Welcome to Team Blush.

It looks great! I hope you keep it.

This jacket looks like something you could wear all the time, Rae!
Something lightweight like that should be perfect for you. I love the blush color with black, and we already know it looks great with jeans and a white tee, thanks to Mo.
    Big thumbs up!

Thanks so much for all the opinions - I am extra grateful since I have such a bad history with these darned jackets and you are all probably tiring of me.

I wore the blush all day today and felt just fine in it! It brought compliments, and I felt stylish when I passed mirrors. Most importantly, I was not too hot.

I still don't like the above photo much... but I'm choosing to think that the dark dark bottoms and light jacket and citron background emphasize IT-ness that isn't necessarily there to the same extent IRL. I tried out an all-light-colored outfit just now and like it a lot.

Gorgeous!  - and looks great on you!

  • Deborah replied 10 years ago

It's gorgeous and you look amazing in blush. I love it over the all black ensemble. Great addition to your wardrobe.

  • goldenpig replied 10 years ago

Great jacket. You look lovely in blush pink. How is it you can wear any color including pastels and neon and taupe! You have an amazing complexion!

Angie, I don't like bright pinks in general... these light pinks don't really like me back. But I am following Una and pairing with my better colors just cuz I like it. Also, with this pink being distressed, it's okay that it looks dirty next to my skin. :)

Natalie, I'm flattered that you think so! I don't think it's my best color, but I want to work around that fact, lol.

You know, if I had endless money, I think I would have the sleeves of the rose gold chopped to 3/4 length. That would reduce the shine and also make it less warm. I still like it. Maybe I'll ask the gals at Shoptoberfest this weekend.

  • Angie replied 10 years ago

That's precisely how to wear colours that don't love you back. And I'll wear shocking bright pink for you.

  • Vickie KY replied 10 years ago

I don't know about the other jacket - this one looks great.

I like both of them.  I especially like the rose gold one, it's so fab.  Although I can see how the pink is more wearable.  I prefer the pink with the more tonal outfit and skirt, the black is very high contrast and I am on team low contrast, that is most certainly my bias so take comment with grain of salt.

Can you keep both of them?  When I lived in So Cal I wore leather jackets year-round, they are the perfect coat for that climate.

    Love it!

  • rae replied 10 years ago

Denise, you make a good point. I asked the shoptoberfesters and got a definite keep vote. If anything I should pass on a heavier coat since they are less wearable most of the year.

  • Debra replied 10 years ago

It looks exactly like your style ........super fabulous :)
