Ombre Clash

Post and run from the road, since I am visiting a friend! After I was dessed, I realized there are many clashing elements that may not be everyone's cuppa. Black with brown, olive with turquoise... Still nkt sure if it is 100 percent a fashionable look, but I am finding I care more for what I like versus what is in these days. I think I have also decided I want to grow out my bangs and/or sideburns to help with more jawline definition, but that is another story. :-)

I love this - and your hair.  But I totally get the making little tweaks to the hairstyle.  I do that all the time too.

Great look, you look so tall and long legged!

I think tweaking the hair will be good -- slightly longer will really direct attention to the corners of your lips and jaw. I used to always have layers right there and think I will again because I think it is pretty.

This is classic, casual Rae! You look amazing in the jeans and boots! So fab.

I absolutely love the aqua ombre sweater.  Where did you find it?

I never noticed how long your legs were either.  I don't know if it is the shorter sweater or if you are wearing heels, but your legs look a mile long.

Is this your matching sweater that you bought with other YLFers? I like the olive and turquoise.

You look amazing!  I have never tried olive and turquoise - you make it look fab.  I love your hair!  But hey, grow it, it can always be chopped again.  Hope you have a nice visit.

Yes, you look terrific!  So lean and long-legged.  And I've loved that sweater every time I've seen it on you.

You look terrific! That ombré sweater is amazing on you!

No clashing to my eye, you look cute Rae! I like the idea on the sideburns especially (I think I mentioned it way back, if not I do!). Your up-close photo in #2 is really lovely (makeup, hair, everything).

I just love the sweater, the colour, the shape, the ombré. And it paired with the jeans, you look so tall and sleek. Gorgeous outfit!

Dianthus, the top is from Anthropologie - Marley and Vicki also picked one up when they visited!

Pil, yes, that is the one. :)

Aida, yes, you did mention the sideburns. I am trying to decide if the rest should stay short or what, but I'm pretty set on some face-framing.

Lovely outfit. The jeans and boots are always so good on you.

Your hair is beautiful, piece-y and shattered. I am amazed at how rectangular my face looks now that my hair is a little longer and I have cheek-bone length layers. It really makes the corners of my jawbone look more prominent. Not sure it that's what you're after but I thought I'd toss it out there.

Wow, your legs look amazing in this outfit.  So L&L!  I really like the fit of the pants.  Also like the ombre crop and your close-up.  You have great bones and the short hair highlights them.

I am pretty mainstream about color, and I love this and would wear it in a heartbeat (though not so well as you).  The blue and green are so harmonious, and the brown belt grounds the look so much better than a black one would.

I realize I rely on patterns to "blend" colors.  You do this so well using all solids, and without a "color block" look.  Yeah!

Hey!  Love that top!  Whenever I wear mine I get zillions of compliments - and it always makes me smile, knowing that you and Vicki have one just like it!  I also love the cut of your jeans - bootcut?  Makes me re-think putting my bootcuts away - think I better get them back out and try again, if there is any chance at all that my legs will longer than yours!
Also, your hairstyle is phenomenal!  Can't wait to see what you do next!

This look very harmonious to me actually, and very flattering. I see what you mean about jaw definition. I'll be honest and say that I did like the previous longer haircut on you best, but even as is this still looks really pretty on you.

Well I like everything about this outfit and think you look fantastic! And your close up pic shows us just how incredibly beautiful you are...such lovely skin and bone structure. I like the idea of growing the hair a bit to give your face more "framing".

I just love that ombre sweater on you. YLF. I am in awe of your flawless complexion too!

Stunning sweater, looks gorgeous on you.  And your legs look like they go on forever.  Very curious to see how your new hair look will turn out.

You look so effortlessly stylish here, Ray! This casual outfit has your name written on it and you look very happy about it - and the happy factor is important! Love the softness of the ombre sweater and the RATE boots and belt together.
