True Religion Cameron Missouri Fit Review

I love 100% cotton distressed jeans, and I wanted a slim BF jean that DH might not hate so much, so after Angie and Mo's success with the cameron, I gave them a try in this super distressed finish (Missouri wash). DH did not end up liking the rear view or the whiskering, but I thought I'd add some pics to the forum for anyone else who might consider the fit.

I really love the wash! The fabric is soft and comfy, and the blue has that absolutely perfect, lived-in look.

The fit is strange, though, compared to what I've read about the Camerons. 27 is my normal size in fitted jeans right now, and these are hardly boyfriend fit at all - just a bit of room in the thighs, and that's it. I think a 26 would fit like a regular skinny. I might have actually tried the 26 to see if DH liked the rear view better, but they were sold out.

Anyway, there it is! Beware of varied washes! And if you aren't sure, order multiple sizes before they're gone. :)

Rae, I also found the Missouri (or was it Nebraska?) wash more snug than any others.  I tried them off Zappos last summer very early in my search.
    Funny how that is.

EDIT: a second thought is that those who find these Camerons loosest tend to have slimmer thighs (Una, Denise, Angie) whereas you and I both carry a bit of meat in our upper legs and tush.  Perhaps that is where they are feeling the loose fit where you and I don't?

The Camerons I tried (which were the ones Mo linked to) were huge on me, both in waist, hips and thighs, in my regular size.  Although my size varies by brand, so who knows?  They were also very stretchy.  I like these distressed ones a lot so maybe I should give them a try.   These look fantastic on you, Rae - could you keep them anyway, even if they are not a BF fit?

Rae, thanks for this review. It is great to hear. It seems the different washes really do differ. Like you and Mo, I have the meat on my thighs and tush so it would probably be a similar fit for me....hmmmm.....

I like the look of these on you a lot, though. Could you go for them anyway?

I think these look GREAT ON YOU!

Rae, from what I have now read and seen about the fit of the TR Camerons - they are very inconsistent. To Suz's point. They come in lots of washes, and fabrications - which alters the fit. How annoying. Mine are a size 25 and biggish. But they are not these TR Camerons. They have no tears and are 100% cotton. Not that soft but plenty faded. I LOVE them!

What are you, Suz and Mo smoking - meat on your thighs???? I don't think I carry any less meat on my thighs :)

he he he - I'd be a good Thanksgiving bird to sink your teeth into.  But I have zero hangups about it!  I just know it's a fit issue for me to fit the seat and upper thigh ;)

I love these on you. I like whiskering on these because they are distressed. I don't like it on dark jeans. I love the fit but I don't know what your intention was with fit. This fit seems to be relaxed straight legs. Not BF or skinny.

I love these on you, Rae. They look like you've had them since high school (maybe junior high...HS might not have been that long ago for you!) and have worn them to where they are perfectly broken in for YOU.

Crud... I was hoping to put this $ straight to the danier. I do really like them, but don't strictly need them. Maybe I should hold onto them a bit and see how my ebay items do?

Just a theoretical question at this point, but what would you think about these as a replacement/upgrade/DH-grade for one of my super baggy BF styles? Just one, I still want to keep at least one super baggy jean.

True their sizing is all over the place.

Cameron Missouri run small.  I have them in a size 27.  (1 &2)

I have three other TR boyfriend jeans, one pair is a 26 and two others are 25s, so these are definitely the smallest fit of them all.

Thanks for the pics, Denise. Man, they look so good styled up as you have shown! Really digging for some "assets" to liquidate now.

Thanks Rae.  I like the way they look on you.  You can wear them full length, I have to roll mine more.  'Cause as I told you, I keep shrinking.
