PSA: Nude Trouve-ish/Rick Owens-ish leather jacket under $300

Ogled this in the store today, and thought of how popular the navy Trouve was a while back. The description says "taupe," but it is more of a nude IMO. Really cute with all the spring brights and neons, but also pretty with black. Just sayin' is all.

    Did you try it on?

(I hope you are allowed to try things on.)

I love nude leather jackets. The only concern I have with the Halogen one is that it looks like the lining shows when you have it one.

Maybe that always happens with a waterfall style?

    Love!

I love the jacket, but I don't know about the lining showing, I wish the lining had an interesting pattern/texture to it. IRL, is the lining plain, or is it nice fabric? Do you mind it showing?

Nice! Yes, that looks more like a "blush" to me. Or nude. It looks reeeeeealllllly soft. :)

It's beautiful and I've had it on clients, Rae. But it's NOT for you if you have a long neck and dainty shoulder line. Shorter necks and broader shoulders are best for this style.

Yep, I think Una had the navy one - broad shoulders, shorter neck, larger bust. If I recall, those parts aren't lined in fabric, so they don't contrast the rest of the jacket so much.

It was too busy for me to try it yesterday, but either today or tomorrow. Denise, we are *required* to try things on. :D

" we are *required* to try things on " - so much fun!! :-)

I love the nude leather jacket!

Sad to hear this is not for long necks, as I like it. I like the nude color, but it looks tricky and the tone could be wonderful or horrible, depending on skin tone. Looks very versatile.

Oh, this looks a lot like one they had last year(?) that was adorable and SO soft. The old one was more of a light taupe and my SA had it on. When I complimented her on it, she peeled it off and let me try hers on!! (Of course, my little Nordies didn't stock it)

If it's similar, there is no lining in the body just in the arms, so that contrast on the neck is the underside of the leather (sort of suede like).

I thought it was very flattering, clearly suited to indoor wear, or as a summer AC topper.

Glad to see they've reintroduced it, and in a great color!

This is going to the top of my "things to try on if I can manage a Seattle trip" list. Thanks, Rae!
