WIW: Eh, this looked good in the mirror...

I started off with this blazer that has not gotten my love much since I switched jobs... tried to make it more exciting with a pattern mix and slouchy pants. I liked the look in the mirror, but in the pics I feel much more stumpified. Not much I can do since my black belts don't fit in these belt loops. Is it any better with the pants rolled up? Or is that adding fuel to the fire?

    I like #1! I don't see stumps ;).

I like seeing your ankle in #3, that little sliver of skin adds just the right amount of sass.

I'm with Rita - I like the pants rolled up in #3 - it shows more of the boots and a hint of leg. It's kind of like you're saying "sure, I'm wearing pants...but not the way YOU would wear pants"!

I love the pattern mix of the blazer and shirt too and then the pop of yellow with your bag is perfect. I really like this outfit.

I actually like them better unrolled. You look great!

Hm, two to two in the votes! I'm leaving them rolled for now, but I can still unroll later... please keep the opinions coming!

"...not the way YOU would wear pants!" ROFL!

  • christieanne replied 11 years ago

    I like them down.

  • Angie replied 11 years ago

The unrolled version is a 10 to my eye. Only by about a billion percent.

  • Jjsloane replied 11 years ago

I'm on Angie's team here - unrolled. I like the brown accents and see no stumpiness.

  • rae replied 11 years ago

LOL, tell me how you really feel, Angie! ;)

Since these pants aren't as long as most of my others, I could not tell if they looked more like highwaters unrolled, but it's a relief to hear that they don't. Look number one has pulled ahead, so I just oh so slyly unrolled the pants under my desk!

    I like #3 best! :-)

  • Sara L. replied 11 years ago

I like #1 unrolled the best. I think they make your legs look long and thin. I see no stumpiness.

  • Jonesy replied 11 years ago

I like both looks (no stumpification whatsoever!!) but slightly prefer #1. Yay for the fab pattern mix!!

  • Kate replied 11 years ago

Unrolled. I like that jacket, Rae, and I love the shirt.

  • catgirl replied 11 years ago

LOL. I think you look great both ways, but I too prefer the unrolled. I'm about to try styling the orange Fryes that arrived yesterday and may have the same concerns...

  • Aida replied 11 years ago

LOVE #1, looks perfect to me!

  • rae replied 11 years ago

Thank you all for helping me out with these pants - I actually almost donated them because I was so unsure about the length and whether they looked good. I felt happy enough in them today that I do believe they will live to see another day.

Una, I'm on the edge of my seat to see those orange Fryes!

  • Mochi replied 11 years ago

Definitely unrolled. I'm taking notes here myself.

  • teeandcee replied 11 years ago

I think your legs look the longest in #1, but I love 3 the best because I love-love-love that look with the boots and ankle showing. No stumpage in any of them that I see though.

  • Amy replied 11 years ago

I'm torn. I like them unrolled, but I love the sassy attitude #3 displays. Either way is a winner in my book.

  • replied 11 years ago

I like both versions equally. Those report booties are becoming workhorses!

  • Kiwichik replied 11 years ago

Eh looks good in the photo too... prefer unrolled.

  • Deborah replied 11 years ago

It looked good in the mirror, and it looks fab in the pictures! I like #1 the best but I am also strangely attracted to the rolled version. Great jacket.

  • Mona replied 11 years ago

#1 looks good to me. This outfit has a lot of style. Are these slouchy pants?
